Psalms 7
1 Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning Cush a Benjamite. O LORD my God, in Thee have I taken refuge; save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me;
Ishigayoni kaDavida ayihlabelela uThixo mayelana loKhushi umBhenjamini. Oh Thixo Nkulunkulu wami, ngiphephela kuwe; ngisindisa ungikhulule kubo bonke abangizingelayo,
2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
ngoba bazanginithiza njengesilwane bangiklebule iziqanyana kungekho ongangilamulela.
3 O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
Oh Thixo, Nkulunkulu wami, nxa ngikwenzile lokhu izandla zami zilecala,
4 If I have requited him that did evil unto me, or spoiled mine adversary unto emptiness;
nxa ngenze okubi kulowo ohlalisene kuhle lami loba ngisuke ngaphanga isitha sami kungelasizatho,
5 Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it, and tread my life down to the earth; yea, let him lay my glory in the dust. (Selah)
nxa kunjalo akuthi isitha sami singihlasele; masigxobagxobele impilo yami emhlabathini singibhuqabhuqele phansi ebhuqwini.
6 Arise, O LORD, in Thine anger, lift up Thyself in indignation against mine adversaries; yea, awake for me at the judgment which Thou hast commanded.
Vuka, Oh Thixo, ngolaka lwakho; vuka uvimbele ukuthukuthela kwezitha zami. Vuka, Nkulunkulu wami, memezela ukwahlulela okuhle.
7 And let the congregation of the peoples compass Thee about, and over them return Thou on high.
Akuthi abantu bebuthene bakuhanqe busa phezu kwabo usekuphakameni.
8 O LORD, who ministerest judgment to the peoples, judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
UThixo kahlulele bonke abantu. Ngahlulele, Oh Thixo ngokwanele ukulunga kwami, ngokwanele ubuqotho bami, wena oPhezukonke.
9 Oh that a full measure of evil might come upon the wicked, and that Thou wouldest establish the righteous; for the righteous God trieth the heart and reins.
Oh Nkulunkulu olungileyo, ohlolisisa imicabango lezinhliziyo, qeda udlakela lwababi ukuze abalungileyo bavikeleke.
10 My shield is with God, who saveth the upright in heart.
Isihlangu sami nguNkulunkulu oPhezukonke, osindisa abaqotho ngenhliziyo.
11 God is a righteous judge, yea, a God that hath indignation every day:
UNkulunkulu ngumahluleli olungileyo, uNkulunkulu obonisa ulaka lwakhe insuku zonke.
12 If a man turn not, He will whet His sword, He hath bent His bow, and made it ready;
Nxa umuntu engadeli ububi bakhe uzalola inkemba yakhe; uzaligoba alithiye idandili lakhe.
13 He hath also prepared for him the weapons of death, yea, His arrows which He made sharp.
Usezilungisile izikhali zakhe ezibulalayo; uselungisa imitshoko yakhe evutha umlilo.
14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; yea, he conceiveth mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood.
Lowo osuthiswe ngobubi akhulelwe yikona uzala ukuphumputheka.
15 He hath digged a pit, and hollowed it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
Lowo omba umgodi awuphande uwela kulowomgodi awumbileyo.
16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own pate.
Inkathazo ayidalileyo iyamphendukela; lesihluku sakhe sehlela phezu kwekhanda lakhe.
17 I will give thanks unto the LORD according to His righteousness; and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
Ngizambonga uThixo ngenxa yokulunga kwakhe; ngizahlabelela indumiso egameni likaThixo oPhezukonke.
