Psalms 68
1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David, a Song. Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; and let them that hate Him flee before Him.
Dem Sangmeister. Von David, ein Psalm, ein Lied. Gott mache Sich auf, lasse Seine Feinde sich zerstreuen und fliehen, die Ihn hassen, vor Seinem Angesicht.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
Wie Rauch dahingetrieben wird, treibe Du sie dahin, wie Wachs zerschmilzt vor Feuer, so vergehen die Ungerechten vor Gottes Angesicht.
3 But let the righteous be glad, let them exult before God; yea, let them rejoice with gladness.
Und die Gerechten sind fröhlich, sie jauchzen vor Gott, und freuen sich in Fröhlichkeit.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to His name; extol Him that rideth upon the skies, whose name is the LORD; and exult ye before Him.
Singet Gott, singt Psalmen Seinem Namen, macht Bahn Ihm, Der daherfährt auf Wolken, bei Seinem Namen Jah, und jauchzet vor Ihm.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.
Der Waisen Vater, und Der Recht schafft den Witwen, ist Gott in der Wohnstätte Seiner Heiligkeit.
6 God maketh the solitary to dwell in a house; He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; the rebellious dwell but in a parched land.
Gott läßt im Hause wohnen die Einsamen, und führt die in Fesseln Gebundenen hinaus, doch in der Dürre wohnen die Aufrührer.
7 O God, when Thou wentest forth before Thy people, when Thou didst march through the wilderness; (Selah)
Gott, da Du auszogest vor Deinem Volk, da Du einherschrittest im Wüstenland, (Selah)
8 The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God; even yon Sinai trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
Erbebte die Erde, ja es troffen die Himmel, vor Gott; jener Sinai vor Gott, dem Gotte Israels.
9 A bounteous rain didst Thou pour down, O God; when Thine inheritance was weary, Thou didst confirm it.
Freiwillige Regengüsse schüttelst Du herab, o Gott, und festigst Dein ermüdetes Erbe.
10 Thy flock settled therein; Thou didst prepare in Thy goodness for the poor, O God.
Darin wird wohnen Dein Wild; Du festigst, o Gott, mit Deinem Gut den Elenden.
11 The Lord giveth the word; the women that proclaim the tidings are a great host.
Der Herr gibt die Rede; die Heil verkünden, ein großes Heer.
12 Kings of armies flee, they flee; and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
Die Könige der Heere sind entflohen, sind entflohen, und die Bewohnerin des Hauses verteilt Beute.
13 When ye lie among the sheepfolds, the wings of the dove are covered with silver, and her pinions with the shimmer of gold.
Wenn ihr zwischen Hürden lieget, dann sind der Taube Flügel mit Silber bedeckt, und ihre Fittiche mit grünlichem Gold.
14 When the Almighty scattereth kings therein, it snoweth in Zalmon.
Wenn Schaddai die Könige in ihr ausbreitet, wird es schneeweiß auf dem Zalmon.
15 A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; a mountain of peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
Ein Berg Gottes ist der Berg Baschans, ein Berg der Hügel ist Baschans Berg.
16 Why look ye askance, ye mountains of peaks, at the mountain which God hath desired for His abode? Yea, the LORD will dwell therein for ever.
Was hüpfet ihr, Berge, ihr Hügel des Berges? Gott hat begehrt darauf zu wohnen, ja, Jehovah wird ihn bewohnen immerdar.
17 The chariots of God are myriads, even thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in holiness.
Der Streitwagen Gottes sind es zwei Myriaden, Tausende verdoppelt! Der Herr ist in ihnen, Sinai ist im Heiligtum.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captivity captive; Thou hast received gifts among men, yea, among the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell there.
Du bist emporgestiegen in die Höhe, hast Gefangene weggeführt; Gaben hast Du angenommen bei dem Menschen, auch die Aufrührer, daß Gott Jah wohnen möge.
19 Blessed be the Lord, day by day He beareth our burden, even the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
Gesegnet sei Tag für Tag der Herr! Ladet man uns eine Last auf, ist Gott unser Heil. (Selah)
20 God is unto us a God of deliverances; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues of death.
Gott ist ein Gott des Heiles uns, und bei Jehovah, dem Herrn, sind die Ausgänge vom Tode.
21 Surely God will smite through the head of His enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth about in his guiltiness.
Gott aber wird zerschmettern Seiner Feinde Haupt, den Scheitel dessen, der in seiner Schuld dahingeht.
22 The Lord said: 'I will bring back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea;
Es spricht der Herr: Ich bringe aus Baschan sie zurück, bringe zurück sie von des Meeres Schlund.
23 That thy foot may wade through blood, that the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from thine enemies.'
Daß deinen Fuß du eindrückst ins Blut, und deiner Hunde Zunge sich ihren Teil vom Feinde nehme.
24 They see Thy goings, O God, even the goings of my God, my King, in holiness.
Sie sehen Deine Gänge, o Gott, die Gänge meines Gottes, meines Königs im Heiligtum.
25 The singers go before, the minstrels follow after, in the midst of damsels playing upon timbrels.
Voran ziehen die Sänger, danach die Saitenspieler in paukender Jungfrauen Mitte.
26 'Bless ye God in full assemblies, even the Lord, ye that are from the fountain of Israel.'
Segnet Gott in den Versammlungen, den Herrn aus dem Borne Israels.
27 There is Benjamin, the youngest, ruling them, the princes of Judah their council, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
Da ist Benjamin der Kleine, ihr Herrscher; die Fürsten Judahs mit ihrer Schar, die Fürsten Sebulons, die Fürsten Naphthalis.
28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength; be strong, O God, Thou that hast wrought for us
Dein Gott hat deine Stärke geboten, zeige stark Dich, o Gott, das hast Du an uns getan;
29 Out of Thy temple at Jerusalem, whither kings shall bring presents unto Thee.
Von Deinem Tempel über Jerusalem; dir werden Könige Geschenke bringen;
30 Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, every one submitting himself with pieces of silver; He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war!
Schilt Du das wilde Tier des Schilfs, die Gemeinde der Gewaltigen, unter den Kälbern der Völker, das niedertritt die Stücke Silbers, das umherstreut die Völker; sie haben Lust an Kämpfen.
31 Nobles shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten to stretch out her hands unto God.
Es werden Fette kommen aus Ägypten. Zu Gott wird eilig Kusch seine Hände erheben.
32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; (Selah)
Singt Gott, ihr Reiche der Erde, singt Psalmen dem Herrn. (Selah)
33 To Him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which are of old; lo, He uttereth His voice, a mighty voice.
Ihm, Der einherfährt auf den Himmeln der Himmel der Vorzeit. Siehe, Er läßt ergehen Seine Stimme, die Stimme der Stärke.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto God; His majesty is over Israel, and His strength is in the skies.
Gebt Gott die Stärke, über Israel ist Seine Hoheit, und Seine Stärke im Wolkenhimmel.
35 Awful is God out of thy holy places; the God of Israel, He giveth strength and power unto the people; blessed be God.
Furchtbar bist Du, o Gott, aus Deinen Heiligtümern, Israels Gott. Er gibt Stärke dem Volke und Macht. Gesegnet sei Gott!
