Psalms 65
1 For the Leader. A Psalm. A Song of David. Praise waiteth for Thee, O God, in Zion; and unto Thee the vow is performed.
Dem Sangmeister, ein Psalm Davids. Ein Lied.
2 O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee doth all flesh come.
Dir gebührt, Elohim, in Zion ein Lobgesang, / Dir soll man Gelübde bezahlen.
3 The tale of iniquities is too heavy for me; as for our transgressions, Thou wilt pardon them.
Du erhörest Gebete; / Drum kommen alle Menschen zu dir.
4 Happy is the man whom Thou choosest, and bringest near, that he may dwell in Thy courts; may we be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, the holy place of Thy temple!
Sind meine Sünden mir unerträglich — / Du wirst unsre Frevel vergeben.
5 With wondrous works dost Thou answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation; Thou the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the far distant seas;
Heil dem, den du erwählst und nahen lässest, / Daß er weile in deinen Höfen! / Laß uns deines Hauses Segen genießen, / Deines heiligen Tempels Segen!
6 Who by Thy strength settest fast the mountains, who art girded about with might;
In Huld erhörst du uns furchtbar, Gott unsers Heils. / Dir vertraun alle Enden der Erde und fernen Meere.
7 Who stillest the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples;
Er festigt die Berge durch seine Kraft, / Er ist umgürtet mit Stärke.
8 So that they that dwell in the uttermost parts stand in awe of Thy signs; Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
Er stillet das Brausen des Meeres, seiner Wellen Gedröhn / Und das Tosen der Völker.
9 Thou hast remembered the earth, and watered her, greatly enriching her, with the river of God that is full of water; Thou preparest them corn, for so preparest Thou her.
Drum zittern die fernsten Erdbewohner vor deinen Zeichen. / Ost und West erfüllst du mit Jubel.
10 Watering her ridges abundantly, settling down the furrows thereof, Thou makest her soft with showers; Thou blessest the growth thereof.
Du hast des Landes gedacht, ihm Fülle verliehn, / Es mit Reichtum begabt. / Der Bach Elohims war mit Wasser gefüllt. / Du hast den Menschen Getreide geschenkt, / Hast das Land so fruchtbar gemacht.
11 Thou crownest the year with Thy goodness; and Thy paths drop fatness.
Des Erdreichs Furchen hast du getränkt, seine Schollen erweicht, / Es durch Regen gelockert / Und sein Gewächs gesegnet.
12 The pastures of the wilderness do drop; and the hills are girded with joy.
Du hast das Jahr deiner Güte gekrönt, / Und deine Geleise triefen von Fett.
13 The meadows are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, yea, they sing.
Es triefen die Auen der Steppe, / Mit Jubel die Hügel sich gürten. Es sind die Fluren mit Herden bedeckt, / Die Täler mit Korn gehüllt — / Alles jauchzet und singt!
