Psalms 62
1 For the Leader; for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Only for God doth my soul wait in stillness; from Him cometh my salvation.
Dem Musikmeister, nach Jeduthun. Ein Psalm Davids. Ja, zu Gott ist meine Seele still, von ihm kommt mir Hilfe.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be greatly moved.
Ja, er ist mein Fels und meine Hilfe, meine Burg - ich werde nicht wanken!
3 How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may slay him, all of you, as a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
Wie lange wollt ihr einstürmen auf einen Mann, wollt insgesamt morden, wie gegen eine überhängende Wand, eine umgestoßene Mauer?
4 They only devise to thrust him down from his height, delighting in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)
Ja, von seiner Höhe beschließen sie, ihn zu stürzen, indem sie an Lüge Gefallen haben. Mit ihrem Munde segnen sie, aber in ihrem Innern fluchen sie! (Sela)
5 Only for God wait thou in stillness, my soul; for from Him cometh my hope.
Ja, zu Gott sei still, meine Seele, denn von ihm kommt mir Hoffnung.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be moved.
Ja, er ist mein Fels und meine Hilfe, meine Burg - ich werde nicht wanken!
7 Upon God resteth my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Auf Gott ruht mein Heil und meine Ehre; mein starker Fels, meine Zuflucht ist in Gott.
8 Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. (Selah)
Vertraue auf ihn, du ganze Volksgemeinde; schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus: Gott ist unsere Zuflucht! (Sela)
9 Men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie; if they be laid in the balances, they are together lighter than vanity.
Ja, ein Hauch sind die Menschenkinder, eine Lüge die Menschen: werden sie auf die Wage gehoben, so sind sie allzumal leichter als ein Hauch!
10 Trust not in oppression, and put not vain hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart thereon.
Verlaßt euch nicht auf Erpressung und setzt nicht eitle Hoffnung auf Geraubtes; nimmt der Reichtum zu, so hängt nicht das Herz daran!
11 God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this: that strength belongeth unto God;
Einmal hat Gott geredet, zweimal habe ich dies vernommen, daß die Macht bei Gott ist.
12 Also unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy; for Thou renderest to every man according to his work.
Und bei dir, Herr, ist Gnade, denn du vergiltst einem jeden nach seinem Thun.
