Psalms 61

1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

௧நரம்புக் கருவிகளை இசைக்கும் இசைத் தலைவனுக்கு தாவீது அளித்த பாடல்களில் ஒன்று. தேவனே, நான் கூப்பிடுகிறதைக் கேட்டு, என்னுடைய விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கவனியும்.

2 From the end of the earth will I call unto Thee, when my heart fainteth; lead me to a rock that is too high for me.

௨என்னுடைய இருதயம் தளர்ந்துபோகும்போது பூமியின் கடைசியிலிருந்து உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; எனக்கு எட்டாத உயரமான கன்மலையில் என்னைக் கொண்டுபோய்விடும்.

3 For Thou hast been a refuge for me, a tower of strength in the face of the enemy.

௩நீர் எனக்கு அடைக்கலமும், எதிரிகளுக்கு எதிரே பெலத்த துருகமுமாக இருந்தீர்.

4 I will dwell in Thy Tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings. (Selah)

௪நான் உம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் என்றென்றும் தங்குவேன்; உமது இறக்கைகளின் மறைவிலே வந்து அடைவேன். (சேலா)

5 For Thou, O God, hast heard my vows; Thou hast granted the heritage of those that fear Thy name.

௫தேவனே, நீர் என்னுடைய பொருத்தனைகளைக் கேட்டீர்; உமது பெயருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களின் சுதந்தரத்தை எனக்குத் தந்தீர்.

6 Mayest Thou add days unto the king's days! May his years be as many generations!

௬ராஜாவின் ஆயுசு நாட்களோடு நாட்களைக் கூட்டுவீர்; அவர் வருடங்கள் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக இருக்கும்.

7 May he be enthroned before God for ever! Appoint mercy and truth, that they may preserve him.

௭அவர் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பார்; தயையும் உண்மையும் அவரைக் காக்கக் கட்டளையிடும்.

8 So will I sing praise unto Thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

௮இப்படியே தினமும் என்னுடைய பொருத்தனைகளை நான் செலுத்தும்படியாக, உமது பெயரை என்றைக்கும் புகழ்ந்து பாடுவேன்.
