Psalms 61

1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

برای رهبر سرایندگان: با همراهی سازهای زهی. مزمور داوود. ای خدا، فریادم را بشنو و دعای مرا اجابت فرما!

2 From the end of the earth will I call unto Thee, when my heart fainteth; lead me to a rock that is too high for me.

از این دیار غریب، تو را به کمک می‌طلبم. مرا که فکرم پریشان است به پناهگاهی امن هدایت کن.

3 For Thou hast been a refuge for me, a tower of strength in the face of the enemy.

زیرا تو در برابر دشمنانم حامی و پناهگاه من بوده‌ای.

4 I will dwell in Thy Tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings. (Selah)

بگذار تمام عمرم در خیمهٔ تو ساکن شوم و در زیر سایهٔ بالهای تو پناه گیرم.

5 For Thou, O God, hast heard my vows; Thou hast granted the heritage of those that fear Thy name.

خدایا، تو قولهایی را که داده‌ام، شنیده‌ای، و برکاتی را نصیبم ساخته‌ای که به کسانی که نام تو را گرامی می‌دارند، می‌بخشی.

6 Mayest Thou add days unto the king's days! May his years be as many generations!

به پادشاه عمر طولانی عطا کن تا سالیان سال سلطنت کند.

7 May he be enthroned before God for ever! Appoint mercy and truth, that they may preserve him.

باشد که تا ابد در حضور تو ای خدا، او حکومت کند. او را با محبت و وفاداری خود محافظت فرما.

8 So will I sing praise unto Thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

پس همیشه تو را ستایش خواهم کرد و هر روز به قولهایی که به تو داده‌ام وفا خواهم نمود.
