Psalms 61

1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

A karmesternek. Hárfajátékra. Dávidtól. Halljad Isten fohászomat, figyelj imádságomra!

2 From the end of the earth will I call unto Thee, when my heart fainteth; lead me to a rock that is too high for me.

A föld végéről hozzád kiáltok föl, mikor szívem elborul; sziklára, mely magas nekem, vezérelj engem.

3 For Thou hast been a refuge for me, a tower of strength in the face of the enemy.

Mert menedék voltál nekem, erős torony ellenség elől.

4 I will dwell in Thy Tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings. (Selah)

Hadd időzöm sátradban örökké, keresek menedéket szárnyaid rejtekében. Széla.

5 For Thou, O God, hast heard my vows; Thou hast granted the heritage of those that fear Thy name.

Mert te, Isten, hallgattál fogadásaimra, megadod neved tisztelőinek örökségét.

6 Mayest Thou add days unto the king's days! May his years be as many generations!

Napokat tégy hozzá a király napjaihoz, évei annyi mint nemzedék meg nemzedék!

7 May he be enthroned before God for ever! Appoint mercy and truth, that they may preserve him.

Székeljen örökké Isten előtt, szeretet és hűség, rendeld, hogy megóvják!

8 So will I sing praise unto Thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Ekképen hadd zengem nevedet mindétig, hogy megfizessem fogadásaimat napról napra!
