Psalms 60

1 For the Leader; upon Shushan Eduth; Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, and Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the Valley of Salt twelve thousand. O God, Thou hast cast us off, Thou hast broken us down; Thou hast been angry; O restore us.

۱ برای سالار مغنیان بر سوسن شهادت. مکتوم داود برای تعلیم وقتی که با ارم نهرین و ارم صوبه از در مقاتله بیرون آمد و یوآب برگشته، دوازده هزار نفر از ادومیان را در وادی الملح کشت ای خدا ما را دور انداخته، پراکنده ساخته‌ای! خشمناک بودی، بسوی مارجوع فرما!

2 Thou hast made the land to shake, Thou hast cleft it; heal the breaches thereof; for it tottereth.

۲ زمین را متزلزل ساخته، آن راشکافته‌ای! شکستگیهایش را شفا ده زیرا به جنبش آمده است.

3 Thou hast made Thy people to see hard things; Thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering.

۳ چیزهای مشکل را به قوم خود نشان داده‌ای. باده سرگردانی به مانوشانیده‌ای.

4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear Thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)

۴ علمی به ترسندگان خود داده‌ای تاآن را برای راستی برافرازند، سلاه.

5 That Thy beloved may be delivered, save with Thy right hand, and answer me.

۵ تا حبیبان تونجات یابند. به‌دست راست خود نجات ده و مرا مستجاب فرما.

6 God spoke in His holiness, that I would exult; that I would divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

۶ خدا در قدوسیت خود سخن گفته است. پس وجد خواهم نمود. شکیم را تقسیم می‌کنم ووادی سکوت را خواهم پیمود.

7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre.

۷ جلعاد از آن من است، منسی از آن من. افرایم خود سر من است ویهودا عصای سلطنت من.

8 Moab is my washpot; upon Edom do I cast my shoe; Philistia, cry aloud because of me!

۸ موآب ظرف طهارت من است و بر ادوم کفش خود را خواهم‌انداخت. ای فلسطین برای من بانگ برآور!

9 Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me unto Edom?

۹ کیست که مرابه شهر حصین درآورد؟ و کیست که مرا به ادوم رهبری کند؟

10 Hast not Thou, O God, cast us off? And Thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

۱۰ مگر نه تو‌ای خدا که ما را دورانداخته‌ای و با لشکرهای ما‌ای خدا بیرون نمی آیی؟

11 Give us help against the adversary; for vain is the help of man.

۱۱ مرا از دشمن اعانت فرما زیرامعاونت انسان باطل است.

12 Through God we shall do valiantly; for He it is that will tread down our adversaries.

۱۲ با خدا ظفر خواهیم یافت. زیرا اوست که دشمنان ما را پایمال خواهدکرد.
