Psalms 6

1 For the Leader; with string-music; on the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy wrath.

١ لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ عَلَى «ذَوَاتِ ٱلْأَوْتَارِ» عَلَى «ٱلْقَرَارِ». مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ يَارَبُّ، لَا تُوَبِّخْنِي بِغَضَبِكَ، وَلَا تُؤَدِّبْنِي بِغَيْظِكَ.

2 Be gracious unto me, O LORD, for I languish away; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are affrighted.

٢ ٱرْحَمْنِي يَارَبُّ لِأَنِّي ضَعِيفٌ. ٱشْفِنِي يَارَبُّ لِأَنَّ عِظَامِي قَدْ رَجَفَتْ،

3 My soul also is sore affrighted; and Thou, O LORD, how long?

٣ وَنَفْسِي قَدِ ٱرْتَاعَتْ جِدًّا. وَأَنْتَ يَارَبُّ، فَحَتَّى مَتَى؟

4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul; save me for Thy mercy's sake.

٤ عُدْ يَارَبُّ. نَجِّ نَفْسِي. خَلِّصْنِي مِنْ أَجْلِ رَحْمَتِكَ.

5 For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in the nether-world who will give Thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)

٥ لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي ٱلْمَوْتِ ذِكْرُكَ. فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مَنْ يَحْمَدُكَ؟ (Sheol h7585)

6 I am weary with my groaning; every night make I my bed to swim; I melt away my couch with my tears.

٦ تَعِبْتُ فِي تَنَهُّدِي. أُعَوِّمُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ سَرِيرِي بِدُمُوعِي. أُذَوِّبُ فِرَاشِي.

7 Mine eye is dimmed because of vexation; it waxeth old because of all mine adversaries.

٧ سَاخَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ عَيْنِي. شَاخَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ مُضَايِقِيَّ.

8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

٨ اُبْعُدُوا عَنِّي يَا جَمِيعَ فَاعِلِي ٱلْإِثْمِ، لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ قَدْ سَمِعَ صَوْتَ بُكَائِي.

9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD receiveth my prayer.

٩ سَمِعَ ٱلرَّبُّ تَضَرُّعِي. ٱلرَّبُّ يَقْبَلُ صَلَاتِي.

10 All mine enemies shall be ashamed and sore affrighted; they shall turn back, they shall be ashamed suddenly.

١٠ جَمِيعُ أَعْدَائِي يُخْزَوْنَ وَيَرْتَاعُونَ جِدًّا. يَعُودُونَ وَيُخْزَوْنَ بَغْتَةً.
