Psalms 58

1 For the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David; Michtam. Do ye indeed speak as a righteous company? Do ye judge with equity the sons of men?

௧தான் கெட்டுப்போகாதபடிக்கு அல்தஷ்கேத் என்னும் வாத்தியத்தில் வாசிக்க தாவீது பாடி இசைத்தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவித்த மிக்தாம் என்னும் பாடல். மவுனமாக இருக்கிறவர்களே, நீங்கள் மெய்யாக நீதியைப் பேசுவீர்களோ? மனுமக்களே, நியாயமாகத் தீர்ப்பு செய்வீர்களோ?

2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out in the earth the violence of your hands.

௨மனதார நியாயக்கேடு செய்கிறீர்கள்; பூமியிலே உங்கள் கைகளின் கொடுமையை நிறுத்துக் கொடுக்கிறீர்கள்.

3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; the speakers of lies go astray as soon as they are born.

௩துன்மார்க்கர்கள் கர்ப்பத்தில் தோன்றியதுமுதல் முறைதவறுகிறார்கள்; தாயின் வயிற்றிலிருந்து பிறந்தது முதல் பொய்சொல்லி வழிதப்பிப்போகிறார்கள்.

4 Their venom is like the venom of a serpent; they are like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ear;

௪பாம்பின் விஷத்திற்கு ஒப்பான விஷம் அவர்களில் இருக்கிறது.

5 Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, or of the most cunning binder of spells.

௫பாம்பாட்டிகள் விநோதமாக ஊதினாலும் அவர்கள் ஊதும் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்காதபடிக்குத் தன்னுடைய காதை அடைக்கிற செவிட்டுவிரியனைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth; break out the cheek-teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

௬தேவனே, அவர்கள் வாயிலுள்ள பற்களைத் தகர்த்துப்போடும்; யெகோவாவே, பாலசிங்கங்களின் கடைவாய்ப்பற்களை நொறுக்கிப்போடும்.

7 Let them melt away as water that runneth apace; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.

௭கடந்தோடுகிற தண்ணீரைப்போல் அவர்கள் கழிந்துபோகட்டும்; அவன் தன்னுடைய அம்புகளைத் தொடுக்கும்போது அவைகள் சின்னபின்னமாகப் போகட்டும்.

8 Let them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away; like the untimely births of a woman, that have not seen the sun.

௮கரைந்துபோகிற நத்தையைப்போல் ஒழிந்துபோவார்களாக; பெண்ணின் முதிர்ச்சி அடையாத கருவைப்போல் சூரியனைக் காணாமல் இருப்பார்களாக.

9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will sweep it away with a whirlwind, the raw and the burning alike.

௯முள் நெருப்பினால் உங்களுடைய பானைகளில் சூடேறுவதற்கு முன்பே பச்சையானதையும் எரிந்துபோனதையும் அவர் சுழல் காற்றினால் அடித்துக்கொண்டு போவார்.

10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

௧0பழிவாங்குதலை நீதிமான் காணும்போது மகிழுவான்; அவன் தன்னுடைய பாதங்களைத் துன்மார்க்கனுடைய இரத்தத்திலே கழுவுவான்.

11 And men shall say: 'Verily there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.'

௧௧அப்பொழுது, மெய்யாக நீதிமானுக்குப் பலன் உண்டென்றும், மெய்யாக பூமியிலே நியாயஞ்செய்கிற தேவன் உண்டென்றும் மனிதன் சொல்லுவான்.
