Psalms 58

1 For the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David; Michtam. Do ye indeed speak as a righteous company? Do ye judge with equity the sons of men?

達味金詩，交與樂官。調寄「莫要毀壞」。 判官們！你們是否真正出言公平？世人們！你們是否照理審斷案情？

2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out in the earth the violence of your hands.

可惜你們一心只想為非作惡，在地上你們的雙手只行宰割。

3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; the speakers of lies go astray as soon as they are born.

作惡者一離母胎，即背離正路；說謊者一出母腹，即走入歧途。

4 Their venom is like the venom of a serpent; they are like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ear;

他們滿懷的毒素有如蛇毒；他們又像塞住耳朵的聾蝮，

5 Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, or of the most cunning binder of spells.

不聽巫士的言語，不隨靈妙的妖術。

6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth; break out the cheek-teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

天主，求你把他們口中的牙齒搗爛，上主，求你把少壯獅子的牙床打斷。

7 Let them melt away as water that runneth apace; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.

他們有如奔湍的急水流去，他們有如被踏的青草枯萎；

8 Let them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away; like the untimely births of a woman, that have not seen the sun.

他們有如蝸牛爬過溶化消失，又如流產的胎兒不得親見天日！

9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will sweep it away with a whirlwind, the raw and the burning alike.

他們的鍋在未覺到荊火以前，願狂怒的烈風將他們全部吹散！

10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

義人看見大仇己報時，必然喜樂，他要在惡人的血中洗自己的腳。

11 And men shall say: 'Verily there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.'

如此，眾人都說：「義人果然獲得了好的報酬，世上確有執行審判的天主！
