Psalms 56
1 For the Leader; upon Jonath-elem-rehokim. A Psalm of David; Michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be gracious unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up; all the day he fighting oppresseth me.
সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের মিকতাম। সুর: “সুদূর ওক বৃক্ষের উপর ঘুঘু।” যখন ফিলিস্তিনীরা গাত নগরে দাউদকে বন্দি করেছিল। হে ঈশ্বর, আমার প্রতি কৃপা করো, কারণ আমার শত্রুরা আমার পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করে; সারাদিন তারা তাদের আক্রমণ চালিয়ে যায়।
2 They that lie in wait for me would swallow me up all the day; for they are many that fight against me, O Most High,
আমার প্রতিপক্ষরা সারাদিন আমাকে অনুসরণ করে; তাদের অহংকারে অনেকে আমাকে আক্রমণ করছে।
3 In the day that I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.
যখন আমি ভীত, আমি তোমার উপর আস্থা রাখি।
4 In God — I will praise His word — in God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can flesh do unto me?
ঈশ্বরে, আমি যার বাক্যের প্রশংসা করি— আমি ঈশ্বরে আস্থা রাখি এবং ভীত হই না। সামান্য মানুষ আমার কী করতে পারে?
5 All the day they trouble mine affairs; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
সারাদিন তারা আমার কথা বিকৃত করে; তাদের সমস্ত পরিকল্পনা আমার পক্ষে ক্ষতিসাধক।
6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps; according as they have waited for my soul.
তারা ষড়যন্ত্র করে, তারা ওৎ পেতে থাকে, আমার জীবন নেওয়ার জন্য, তারা আমার পদক্ষেপের উপর লক্ষ্য রাখে।
7 Because of iniquity cast them out; in anger bring down the peoples, O God.
তাদের দুষ্টতার কারণে তাদের পালাতে দিয়ো না; হে ঈশ্বর, তোমার ক্রোধে, এদের সবাইকে নিপাত করো।
8 Thou has counted my wanderings; put Thou my tears into Thy bottle; are they not in Thy book?
আমার বিলাপ লিপিবদ্ধ করে; তোমার নথিতে আমার চোখের জলের হিসেব রাখো— তা কি তোমার লিপিতে লেখা নেই?
9 Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call; this I know, that God is for me.
যখন আমি তোমার কাছে সাহায্যের প্রার্থনা করব তখন আমার শত্রুরা পিছু ফিরবে। এতে আমি জানব যে ঈশ্বর আমার পক্ষে আছেন।
10 In God — I will praise His word — in the LORD — I will praise His word —
ঈশ্বরে, আমি যার বাক্যের প্রশংসা করি, সদাপ্রভুতে, আমি যার বাক্যের প্রশংসা করি—
11 In God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can man do unto me?
ঈশ্বরে আমি আস্থা রাখি আর ভীত হই না। মানুষ আমার কী করতে পারে?
12 Thy vows are upon me, O God; I will render thank-offerings unto Thee.
হে ঈশ্বর, তোমার প্রতি আমার শপথ পূর্ণ করতে আমি বাধ্য; আমি তোমার কাছে ধন্যবাদের নৈবেদ্য নিবেদন করব।
13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death; hast Thou not delivered my feet from stumbling? that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
কারণ মৃত্যুর কবল থেকে তুমি আমাকে উদ্ধার করেছ এবং হোঁচট খাওয়া থেকে আমার পা সাবধানে রেখেছ, যেন জীবনের আলোতে আমি ঈশ্বরের সামনে চলতে পারি।
