Psalms 55
1 For the Leader; with string-music. Maschil of David. Give ear, O God, to my prayer; and hide not Thyself from my supplication.
സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനസങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ പ്രാർഥന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമേ, എന്റെ യാചന അവഗണിക്കരുതേ;
2 Attend unto me, and hear me; I am distraught in my complaint, and will moan;
എന്നെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ച് എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളണമേ. എന്റെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ അട്ടഹാസം നിമിത്തവും ദുഷ്ടരുടെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തൽ നിമിത്തവും; എന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങളിൽ ഞാൻ വിഷണ്ണനാകുന്നു അവർ എന്റെമേൽ കഷ്ടത വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു അവരുടെ കോപത്താൽ എന്നെ വേട്ടയാടുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; for they cast mischief upon me, and in anger they persecute me.
4 My heart doth writhe within me; and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെയുള്ളിൽ തീവ്രവേദനയിലായിരിക്കുന്നു; മരണഭീതി എന്നെ പിടികൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 Fear and trembling come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
ഭീതിയും വിറയലും എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ബീഭത്സത എന്നെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 And I said: 'Oh that I had wings like a dove! then would I fly away, and be at rest.
ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “ഹാ, പ്രാവിനെപ്പോലെ എനിക്കു ചിറകുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ! ഞാൻ ദൂരെ പറന്നുപോയി വിശ്രമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
7 Lo, then would I wander far off, I would lodge in the wilderness. (Selah)
ഞാൻ വിദൂരസ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോയി മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാർക്കുമായിരുന്നു; (സേലാ)
8 I would haste me to a shelter from the stormy wind and tempest.'
കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും അകന്ന് ഞാൻ എന്റെ സങ്കേതത്തിലേക്ക് അതിവേഗം പാഞ്ഞടുക്കുമായിരുന്നു.”
9 Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongue; for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
കർത്താവേ, ദുഷ്ടരെ സംഭ്രാന്തിയിലാഴ്ത്തണമേ, അവരുടെ വാദഗതിയെ താറുമാറാക്കണമേ, കാരണം നഗരത്തിൽ അതിക്രമവും കലഹവും പിടിപെട്ടതായി ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof; iniquity also and mischief are in the midst of it.
രാവും പകലും അക്രമികൾ അതിന്റെ മതിലുകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ചുറ്റിസഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടതയും അവഹേളനവും അതിനുള്ളിലുണ്ട്.
11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof; oppression and guile depart not from her broad place.
നാശശക്തികൾ നഗരത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തനനിരതരായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭീഷണിയും വ്യാജവും നഗരവീഥികളിൽ നിരന്തരം അഴിഞ്ഞാടുന്നു.
12 For it was not an enemy that taunted me, then I could have borne it; neither was it mine adversary that did magnify himself against me, then I would have hid myself from him.
എന്നെ അധിക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നത് ഒരു ശത്രുവാണെങ്കിൽ അതു ഞാൻ സഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; ഒരു വൈരി എനിക്കെതിരേ ഉയർന്നുവരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എനിക്കോടിമറയാൻ കഴിയുമായിരുന്നു.
13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my companion, and my familiar friend;
എന്നാൽ എന്റെ സഹചാരിയും എന്റെ ഉറ്റ സുഹൃത്തും എന്നോടു സമനായ മനുഷ്യനുമായ നീയാണല്ലോ അതു ചെയ്തത്,
14 We took sweet counsel together, in the house of God we walked with the throng.
ഒരിക്കൽ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽവെച്ച് നിന്നോടൊപ്പം ഹൃദ്യസമ്പർക്കം ആസ്വദിച്ചിരുന്നു, അവിടെ ജനസമൂഹത്തോടൊപ്പം നാം ഒരുമിച്ച് നടന്നുപോയപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ.
15 May He incite death against them, let them go down alive into the nether-world; for evil is in their dwelling, and within them. (Sheol h7585)
എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെമേൽ മരണം പതുങ്ങിനടക്കട്ടെ; അവർ ജീവനോടെതന്നെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു നിപതിക്കട്ടെ, കാരണം തിന്മ അവരുടെയിടയിൽ കുടികൊള്ളുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ. (Sheol h7585)
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, യഹോവ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I complain, and moan; and He hath heard my voice.
വൈകുന്നേരത്തും രാവിലെയും ഉച്ചയ്ക്കും ഞാൻ ആകുലതയാൽ വിലപിക്കുകയും അവിടന്നെന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18 He hath redeemed my soul in peace so that none came nigh me; for they were many that strove with me.
പലരും എന്നെ എതിർക്കുന്നെങ്കിലും എനിക്കെതിരായി വരുന്ന ആക്രമണങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ അപായപ്പെടുത്താതെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
19 God shall hear, and humble them, even He that is enthroned of old, (Selah) such as have no changes, and fear not God.
അനാദികാലംമുതലേ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥനായിരിക്കുന്ന മാറ്റമില്ലാത്ത ദൈവം, എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ആരവാരംകേട്ട് അവരെ ലജ്ജിതരാക്കും കാരണം അവർക്കു ദൈവഭയമില്ല. (സേലാ)
20 He hath put forth his hands against them that were at peace with him; he hath profaned his covenant.
എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതർ തങ്ങളുടെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഉടമ്പടി ലംഘിക്കുന്നു.
21 Smoother than cream were the speeches of his mouth, but his heart was war; his words were softer than oil, yet were they keen-edged swords.
അവരുടെ ഭാഷണം വെണ്ണപോലെ മാർദവമുള്ളത്, എന്നിരുന്നാലും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ യുദ്ധമാണുള്ളത്; അവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ എണ്ണയെക്കാൾ മയമുള്ളത്, എന്നിട്ടും അവർ ഊരിയ വാളുകൾതന്നെ.
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain thee; He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
നിന്റെ ഭാരം യഹോവയുടെമേൽ സമർപ്പിക്കുക അവിടന്നു നിന്നെ പുലർത്തും; നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ നിപതിക്കാൻ അവിടന്ന് ഒരിക്കലും അനുവദിക്കുകയില്ല.
23 But Thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the nethermost pit; men of blood and deceit shall not live out half their days; but as for me, I will trust in Thee.
എന്നാൽ ദൈവമേ, അവിടന്ന് ദുഷ്ടരെ നാശത്തിന്റെ കുഴിയിലേക്കു തള്ളിയിടും; രക്തദാഹികളും വഞ്ചകരും അവരുടെ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ പകുതിപോലും കാണുകയില്ല. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും.
