Psalms 50
1 A Psalm of Asaph. God, God, the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
Псалом Асафів. Бог богів – Господь! Він промовляє, закликає землю від сходу сонця аж до заходу.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.
Із Сіону, досконалої краси, Бог з’явився в сяйві.
3 Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence; a fire devoureth before Him, and round about Him it stormeth mightily.
Іде наш Бог і не мовчить; вогонь перед Ним пожирає й навколо Нього сильно вирує.
4 He calleth to the heavens above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people:
Він закликає небеса вгорі і землю на суд зі Своїм народом:
5 'Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.'
«Зберіть-но до Мене Моїх вірних, хто уклав Завіт зі Мною при жертві».
6 And the heavens declare His righteousness; for God, He is judge. (Selah)
І небеса сповіщатимуть правду Його, адже Суддя – Сам Бог! (Села)
7 'Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
«Слухай, народе Мій, Я говоритиму; Ізраїлю, Я свідчити буду проти тебе: Я – Бог, твій Бог.
8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices; and thy burnt-offerings are continually before Me.
Не за жертвоприношення твої Я докорятиму тобі – твої цілопалення завжди переді Мною.
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
Я не прийму вола із твого дому, ані козлів із твоїх кошар.
10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Адже всі тварини в лісі – Мої, і худоба на тисячі пагорбів.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains; and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.
Я знаю кожного птаха в горах, і все, що рухається на полях, – зі Мною.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is Mine, and the fulness thereof.
Якби Я був голодний, то не сказав би тобі про це, адже Мені належить всесвіт і все, що його наповнює.
13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Хіба Я їм м’ясо биків чи п’ю кров козлів?
14 Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High;
Принеси Богові в жертву подяку й виконай перед Всевишнім твої обітниці.
15 And call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt honour Me.'
Поклич Мене в день скорботи – Я визволю тебе, а ти Мене прославиш».
16 But unto the wicked God saith: 'What hast thou to do to declare My statutes, and that thou hast taken My covenant in thy mouth?
Нечестивому ж говорить Бог: «Як ти смієш Мої постанови сповіщати і Завіт Мій в устах своїх носити?
17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest My words behind thee.
Ти ж ненавидиш настанови й кидаєш Слова Мої позад себе?
18 When thou sawest a thief, thou hadst company with him, and with adulterers was thy portion.
Коли ти бачиш крадія, заводиш із ним приязні стосунки; і від перелюбників маєш свою частку.
19 Thou hast let loose thy mouth for evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Вуста твої вживаєш для зла, і язик твій плете підступні каверзи.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
Сидиш [на суді], намовляєш на брата твого, проти сина своєї матері свідчиш ганебне.
21 These things hast thou done, and should I have kept silence? Thou hadst thought that I was altogether such a one as thyself; but I will reprove thee, and set the cause before thine eyes.
Ти чинив це, а Я мовчав, [тому] уявив ти [собі], що Я такий, як ти. Я покараю тебе й виставлю [звинувачення] перед очима твоїми.
22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Зрозумійте ж це ті, хто забуває Бога, щоб Я не розтерзав [вас], і не буде кому врятувати.
23 Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving honoureth Me; and to him that ordereth his way aright will I show the salvation of God.'
Той, хто приносить у жертву подяку, шанує Мене; і тому, хто торує дорогу [правди], покажу Я спасіння Боже».
