Psalms 50
1 A Psalm of Asaph. God, God, the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
Psalm Asafa. Bóg nad bogami, PAN, przemówił i wezwał ziemię od wschodu słońca aż do jego zachodu.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.
Z Syjonu, doskonałego piękna, zajaśniał Bóg.
3 Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence; a fire devoureth before Him, and round about Him it stormeth mightily.
Nasz Bóg przyjdzie i nie będzie milczał; ogień będzie trawił przed nim, a wokół niego powstanie potężna burza.
4 He calleth to the heavens above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people:
Wezwie z góry niebiosa i ziemię, aby sądzić swój lud:
5 'Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.'
Zgromadźcie mi moich świętych, którzy zawarli ze mną przymierze przez ofiarę.
6 And the heavens declare His righteousness; for God, He is judge. (Selah)
Wtedy niebiosa ogłoszą jego sprawiedliwość, bo sam Bóg [jest] sędzią. (Sela)
7 'Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
Słuchaj, mój ludu, a będę mówił; słuchaj, Izraelu, a będę świadczył przeciw tobie: Ja [jestem] Bogiem, twoim Bogiem.
8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices; and thy burnt-offerings are continually before Me.
Nie będę cię ganił za twoje ofiary ani za twoje całopalenia, które są zawsze przede mną.
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
Nie przyjmę cielca z twojego domu ani kozłów z twoich zagród.
10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Do mnie bowiem należy wszelkie zwierzę leśne i tysiące bydła na górach.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains; and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.
Znam wszelkie ptactwo górskie i moje są zwierzęta polne.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is Mine, and the fulness thereof.
Gdybym był głodny, nie mówiłbym ci o tym, bo mój [jest] świat i wszystko, co go napełnia.
13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Czyż będę jadł mięso wołów albo pił krew kozłów?
14 Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High;
Ofiaruj Bogu dziękczynienie i spełnij swoje śluby wobec Najwyższego;
15 And call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt honour Me.'
I wzywaj mnie w dniu utrapienia; wtedy cię wybawię, a [ty] mnie uwielbisz.
16 But unto the wicked God saith: 'What hast thou to do to declare My statutes, and that thou hast taken My covenant in thy mouth?
Lecz do niegodziwego Bóg mówi: Po co ogłaszasz moje prawa i masz na ustach moje przymierze;
17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest My words behind thee.
Skoro nienawidzisz karności i rzucasz za siebie moje słowa?
18 When thou sawest a thief, thou hadst company with him, and with adulterers was thy portion.
Gdy widzisz złodzieja, pochwalasz go, i zadajesz się z cudzołożnikami.
19 Thou hast let loose thy mouth for evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Pozwalasz swym ustom źle mówić, a twój język knuje podstępy.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
Siedzisz i mówisz przeciwko twemu bratu, obmawiasz syna swej matki.
21 These things hast thou done, and should I have kept silence? Thou hadst thought that I was altogether such a one as thyself; but I will reprove thee, and set the cause before thine eyes.
To czyniłeś, a ja milczałem; sądziłeś, że jestem do ciebie podobny, [ale] będę cię napominał i postawię ci to przed oczy.
22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Zrozumcie to teraz wy, którzy zapominacie o Bogu, bym [was] nie rozszarpał, a nie byłoby [nikogo], kto [by] was ocalił.
23 Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving honoureth Me; and to him that ordereth his way aright will I show the salvation of God.'
Kto [mi] ofiaruje chwałę, ten oddaje mi cześć; a temu, kto chodzi [prostą] drogą, ukażę Boże zbawienie.
