Psalms 5

1 For the Leader; upon the Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my (meditation)

Al Vencedor: sobre Nehilot: Salmo de David. Escucha, oh SEÑOR, mis palabras. Considera la meditación mía.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; for unto Thee do I pray.

Está atento a la voz de mi clamor, Rey mío y Dios mío, porque a ti oraré.

3 O LORD, in the morning shalt Thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order my prayer unto Thee, and will look forward.

Oh SEÑOR, de mañana oirás mi voz; de mañana me presentaré a ti, y esperaré.

4 For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with Thee.

Porque tú no eres un Dios que ame la maldad: El malo no habitará junto a ti.

5 The boasters shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

No estarán los locos que se gobiernan por afecto o consejo de la carne delante de tus ojos; aborreces a todos los que obran iniquidad.

6 Thou destroyest them that speak falsehood; the LORD abhorreth the man of blood and of deceit.

Destruirás a los que hablan mentira. Al varón de sangre y de engaño abominará el SEÑOR.

7 But as for me, in the abundance of Thy lovingkindness will I come into Thy house; I will bow down toward Thy holy temple in the fear of Thee.

Y yo en la multitud de tu misericordia entraré en tu Casa; adoraré hacía el santo Templo tuyo con tu temor.

8 O LORD, lead me in Thy righteousness because of them that lie in wait for me; make Thy way straight before my face.

Guíame, SEÑOR, en tu justicia a causa de mis enemigos; endereza delante de mí tu camino.

9 For there is no sincerity in their mouth; their inward part is a yawning gulf, their throat is an open sepulchre; they make smooth their tongue.

Porque no hay en su boca rectitud; sus entrañas son pravedades; sepulcro abierto es su garganta, con su lengua lisonjearán.

10 Hold them guilty, O God, let them fall by their own counsels; cast them down in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against Thee.

Desbaratados, oh Dios; caigan por sus propios consejos; por la multitud de sus rebeliones échalos, porque se rebelaron contra ti.

11 So shall all those that take refuge in Thee rejoice, they shall ever shout for joy, and Thou shalt shelter them; let them also that love Thy name exult in Thee.

Y se alegrarán todos los que esperan en ti; para siempre jubilarán, y los cubrirás; y se alegrarán en ti los que aman tu nombre.

12 For Thou dost bless the righteous; O LORD, Thou dost encompass him with favour as with a shield.

Porque tú, oh SEÑOR, bendecirás al justo; lo cercarás de benevolencia como con un escudo.
