Psalms 47

1 For the Leader; a Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye peoples; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Aplaudi com as mãos, todos os povos; cantai a Deus com voz de triunfo.

2 For the LORD is most high, awful; a great King over all the earth.

Porque o Senhor altíssimo é tremendo, e Rei grande sobre toda a terra.

3 He subdueth peoples under us, and nations under our feet.

Ele nos subjugará os povos e as nações debaixo dos nossos pés.

4 He chooseth our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob whom He loveth. (Selah)

Escolherá para nós a nossa herança, a glória de Jacob, a quem amou (Selah)

5 God is gone up amidst shouting, the LORD amidst the sound of the horn.

Deus subiu com júbilo, o Senhor subiu ao som de trombeta.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

Cantai louvores a Deus, cantai louvores; cantai louvores ao nosso Rei, cantai louvores.

7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye praises in a skilful song.

Pois Deus é o Rei de toda a terra, cantai louvores com inteligência.

8 God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon His holy throne.

Deus reina sobre as nações: Deus se assenta sobre o trono da sua santidade.

9 The princes of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham; for unto God belong the shields of the earth; He is greatly exalted.

Os príncipes do povo se ajuntam, o povo do Deus de Abraão; porque os escudos da terra são de Deus: ele está muito elevado!
