Psalms 45
1 For the Leader; upon Shoshannim; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves. My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I say: 'My work is concerning a king'; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
O meu coração ferve com palavras boas, falo do que tenho feito no tocante ao Rei: a minha língua é a pena de um dextro escritor.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured upon thy lips; therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
Tu és mais formoso do que os filhos dos homens; a graça se derramou em teus lábios; portanto Deus te abençoou para sempre.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, thy glory and thy majesty.
Cinge a tua espada à coxa, ó Valente, com a tua glória e a tua magestade.
4 And in thy majesty prosper, ride on, in behalf of truth and meekness and righteousness; and let thy right hand teach thee tremendous things.
E neste teu esplendor cavalga prosperamente, por causa da verdade, da mansidão e da justiça; e a tua dextra te ensinará coisas terríveis.
5 Thine arrows are sharp — the peoples fall under thee — they sink into the heart of the king's enemies.
As tuas flechas são agudas no coração dos inimigos do Rei, e por elas os povos cairam debaixo de ti
6 Thy throne given of God is for ever and ever; a sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
O teu trono, ó Deus, é eterno e perpétuo; o cetro do teu reino é um cetro de equidade.
7 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness; therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Tu amas a justiça e aborreces a impiedade; portanto, Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com óleo de alegria, mais do que a teus companheiros.
8 Myrrh, and aloes, and cassia are all thy garments; out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad.
Todos os teus vestidos cheiram a mirra, e aloes e cássia, desde os palácios de marfim de onde te alegram.
9 Kings' daughters are among thy favourites; at thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
As filhas dos reis estavam entre as tuas ilustres donzelas; à tua direita estava a rainha ornada de finíssimo ouro de Ophir.
10 'Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
Ouve, filha, e olha, e inclina os teus ouvidos; esquece-te do teu povo e da casa do teu pai.
11 So shall the king desire thy beauty; for he is thy lord; and do homage unto him.
Então o rei se afeiçoará da tua formosura, pois ele é teu Senhor; adora-o.
12 And, O daughter of Tyre, the richest of the people shall entreat thy favour with a gift.'
E a filha de Tiro estará ali com presentes; os ricos do povo suplicarão o teu favor.
13 All glorious is the king's daughter within the palace; her raiment is of chequer work inwrought with gold.
A filha do rei é toda ilustre por dentro: o seu vestido é de ouro engastado.
14 She shall be led unto the king on richly woven stuff; the virgins her companions in her train being brought unto thee.
Leva-la-ão ao rei com vestidos bordados; as virgens que a acompanham a trarão a ti.
15 They shall be led with gladness and rejoicing; they shall enter into the king's palace.
Com alegria e regozijo as trarão: elas entrarão no palácio do rei.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy sons, whom thou shalt make princes in all the land.
Em lugar de teus pais serão teus filhos; deles farás príncipes sobre toda a terra.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the peoples praise thee for ever and ever.
Farei lembrado o teu nome de geração em geração; pelo que os povos te louvarão eternamente.
