Psalms 45
1 For the Leader; upon Shoshannim; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves. My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I say: 'My work is concerning a king'; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Auf den Siegesspender, für den öffentlichen Gottesdienst, von den Korachiten, ein Lehrgedicht, ein Lied der Liebe. Mein Herz bewegt ein feines Ding; in meinem Liede singe ich von einem König.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured upon thy lips; therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
Dem schnellsten Schreibegriffel sei meine Zunge dabei ähnlich! "Du bist so schön wie sonst kein Menschenkind, und Anmut ist auf deine Lippen ausgegossen,
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, thy glory and thy majesty.
weil Gott dich segnet für und für. Umgürte, Held, mit deinem Schwert die Hüfte, mit deiner Zierde, deinem Schmuck!
4 And in thy majesty prosper, ride on, in behalf of truth and meekness and righteousness; and let thy right hand teach thee tremendous things.
Und rüste dich mit deiner Zier! Besteig ein treues Tier mit Siegesmut und laß dir deine Rechte Wunder weisen!
5 Thine arrows are sharp — the peoples fall under thee — they sink into the heart of the king's enemies.
Geschärft sind deine Pfeile, daß Völker dir zu Füßen fallen, wenn sie ins Herz der Königsfeinde dringen!
6 Thy throne given of God is for ever and ever; a sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Dein Thron ist ewiglich und immerdar ein Gottesthron, gerechtes Szepter ist das Szepter deines Reiches.
7 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness; therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Du liebst das Recht; das Unrecht hassest du; drum salbt dich Gott, dein Gott, mit wonniglichem Öle mehr als deine Mitgenossen.
8 Myrrh, and aloes, and cassia are all thy garments; out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad.
Mit Myrrhe, Aloë und Kassia erquicken deine Kleider dich aus elfenbeinernen, minäischen Behältern.
9 Kings' daughters are among thy favourites; at thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
Mit Gaben dir zu Ehren kommen Königstöchter; mit Ophirgold tritt Dir zur Rechten die Gemahlin."
10 'Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
Merk, Tochter, auf, schau her und neig dein Ohr! Vergiß dein Volk und deines Vaters Haus!
11 So shall the king desire thy beauty; for he is thy lord; and do homage unto him.
Und will der König sich an deiner Schönheit laben, ist er ja doch dein Ehgemahl, zeig dich ihm wohlgewogen!
12 And, O daughter of Tyre, the richest of the people shall entreat thy favour with a gift.'
Du Armutstochter! Mit den Gaben kommen und huldigen vor dir des Volkes Reichste.
13 All glorious is the king's daughter within the palace; her raiment is of chequer work inwrought with gold.
Die ganze Pracht der Königstochter ist inwendig; in Gold gewirkt ist ihr Gewand.
14 She shall be led unto the king on richly woven stuff; the virgins her companions in her train being brought unto thee.
Auf bunten Teppichen wird sie zum König hingeführt; jungfräuliche Gespielinnen sind ihr Gefolge; sie werden zu ihr hingeleitet.
15 They shall be led with gladness and rejoicing; they shall enter into the king's palace.
Mit Freudenjubel führt man sie herbei; sie ziehen in das königliche Schloß. -
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy sons, whom thou shalt make princes in all the land.
An deiner Väter Stelle treten deine Söhne; du machst sie überall im Land zu Fürsten.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the peoples praise thee for ever and ever.
Ein ewig Denkmal will ich deinem Ruhme stiften, drum sollen dich die Völker ewig preisen!
