Psalms 43

1 Be Thou my judge, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Justifie-moi, Dieu, et défends ma cause contre une nation impie. Oh, délivre-moi des hommes trompeurs et méchants.

2 For Thou art the God of my strength; why hast Thou cast me off? Why go I mourning under the oppression of the enemy?

Car tu es le Dieu de ma force. Pourquoi m'as-tu rejeté? Pourquoi suis-je en deuil à cause de l'oppression de l'ennemi?

3 O send out Thy light and Thy truth; let them lead me; let them bring me unto Thy holy mountain, and to Thy dwelling-places.

Oh, envoie ta lumière et ta vérité. Laissez-les me guider. Qu'ils m'amènent à ta sainte colline, à vos tentes.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God, my exceeding joy; and praise Thee upon the harp, O God, my God.

Puis j'irai à l'autel de Dieu, à Dieu, mon immense joie. Je te louerai sur la harpe, Dieu, mon Dieu.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why moanest thou within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

Pourquoi es-tu désespéré, mon âme? Pourquoi es-tu troublé en moi? L'espoir en Dieu! Car je le louerai encore: mon sauveur, mon aide et mon Dieu.
