Psalms 4
1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou who didst set me free when I was in distress; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
Da respuesta a mi clamor, oh Dios de mi justicia; tú que en mi angustia me diste alivio; ten piedad de mí y escucha mi oración.
2 O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame, in that ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? (Selah)
¡Oh, hijos de hombres! ¿Hasta cuándo seguirán convirtiendo mi gloria en vergüenza? ¿Por Cuánto tiempo amaran y buscarán la vanidad y falsedad?
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.
El Señor prefiere al hombre que le es fiel; el Señor escucha mi clamor.
4 Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
Haya temor en sus corazones, y no pequen; en cama y en silencio mediten, examinen su corazón. (Selah)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Den sacrificios de justicia, y pongan su fe en el Señor.
6 Many there are that say: 'Oh that we could see some good!' LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.
Hay muchos que dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? la luz de su rostro se ha ido de nosotros.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their corn and their wine increase.
Señor, has puesto alegría en mi corazón, más de los que tienen cuando aumentan su grano y su vino.
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for Thou, LORD, makest me dwell alone in safety.
Voy a descansar en mi cama en paz, y así mismo dormiré porque solo tú, Señor, me haces vivir confiado.
