< Psalms 4 >
1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou who didst set me free when I was in distress; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Hampiarahina amin’ ny valiha. Salamo nataon’ i Davida. Raha miantso aho, mamalia ahy, ry Andriamanitry ny fahamarinako ô; Raha tao an-katerena aho, dia nohalalahinao toerana; Mamindrà fo amiko, ka henoy ny fivavako.
2 O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame, in that ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? (Selah)
Ry lehibe, mandra-pahoviana no hataonareo ho henatra ny voninahitro, ary ho tia zava-poana sy hamoron-dainga ianareo? (Sela)
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.
Kanefa aoka ho fantatrareo fa efa navahan’ i Jehovah ho Azy ny tsara fanahy; Jehovah hihaino, raha miantso Azy aho.
4 Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
Tezera, fa aza manota; mieritrereta eo am-pandrianareo, ka mangìna. (Sela)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Manatera fanati-pahamarinana, ary matokia an’ i Jehovah.
6 Many there are that say: 'Oh that we could see some good!' LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.
Maro no niteny hoe: iza no haneho soa antsika? Asandrato aminay ny fahazavan’ ny tavanao, Jehovah ô.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their corn and their wine increase.
Efa nasianao fifaliana ny foko mihoatra noho ny tamin’ ny taona nahabetsahan’ ny variny sy ny ranom-boalobony.
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for Thou, LORD, makest me dwell alone in safety.
Handry amin’ ny fiadanana aho, ka dia hatory miaraka amin’ izay, satria Hianao, Jehovah ô, no mampitoetra ahy mitokana irery tsy manana ahiahy.
