< Psalms 4 >

1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou who didst set me free when I was in distress; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
Dāvida dziesma. Dziedātāju vadonim uz koklēm. Kad es saucu, tad paklausi mani, Tu, manas taisnības Dievs; bēdās Tu mani esi iepriecinājis; esi man žēlīgs un paklausi manu lūgšanu.
2 O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame, in that ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? (Selah)
Cilvēku bērni, cik ilgi mans gods paliks kaunā? Cik ilgi jūs mīlēsiet nīcīgas lietas un meklēsiet melus? (Sela)
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.
Atzīstiet jel, ka Tas Kungs brīnišķi vadījis to, kas Viņu bīstas; Tas Kungs mani paklausa, kad es Viņu piesaucu.
4 Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
Dusmojiet, bet negrēkojiet, runājiet savā sirdī uz savām gultām un esiet klusu (Sela)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Upurējiet taisnības upurus un paļaujaties uz To Kungu.
6 Many there are that say: 'Oh that we could see some good!' LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.
Daudzi saka: kas mums rādīs labumu? Pacel, ak Kungs, pār mums Sava vaiga gaišumu.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their corn and their wine increase.
Tu manai sirdij devis vairāk prieka nekā viņiem, kad tiem labības un vīna papilnam.
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for Thou, LORD, makest me dwell alone in safety.
Es apgulšos ar mieru un aizmigšu, jo Tu vien, Kungs dari, ka es droši dzīvoju.
