Psalms 4
1 For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou who didst set me free when I was in distress; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
೧ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ತಂತಿವಾದ್ಯದೊಡನೆ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು; ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿದಾತನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು.
2 O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame, in that ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? (Selah)
೨ಜನರೇ, ನೀವು ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸುವಿರಿ, ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸುವಿರಿ? ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವಿರಿ? (ಸೆಲಾ)
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.
೩ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತನನ್ನು ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
4 Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
೪ಭಯಪಡಿರಿ, ಪಾಪಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವಾಗ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಿ. (ಸೆಲಾ)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
೫ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ; ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಭರವಸವಿಡಿರಿ.
6 Many there are that say: 'Oh that we could see some good!' LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.
೬“ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರು ಯಾರಿದ್ದಾರೆ?” ಎಂದು ಅನೇಕರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಮುಖದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕು.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their corn and their wine increase.
೭ಧಾನ್ಯದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಿಗಾಗುವ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ.
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for Thou, LORD, makest me dwell alone in safety.
೮ನಾನು ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೂಡಲೆ ನಿದ್ದೆಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನಗೆ ಯಾವ ಅಪಾಯವೂ ಬಾರದಂತೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತೀ.
