Psalms 37
1 A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.
१दाऊद का भजन कुकर्मियों के कारण मत कुढ़, कुटिल काम करनेवालों के विषय डाह न कर!
2 For they shall soon wither like the grass, and fade as the green herb.
२क्योंकि वे घास के समान झट कट जाएँगे, और हरी घास के समान मुर्झा जाएँगे।
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and cherish faithfulness.
३यहोवा पर भरोसा रख, और भला कर; देश में बसा रह, और सच्चाई में मन लगाए रह।
4 So shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and He shall give thee the petitions of thy heart.
४यहोवा को अपने सुख का मूल जान, और वह तेरे मनोरथों को पूरा करेगा।
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.
५अपने मार्ग की चिन्ता यहोवा पर छोड़; और उस पर भरोसा रख, वही पूरा करेगा।
6 And He will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, and thy right as the noonday.
६और वह तेरा धर्म ज्योति के समान, और तेरा न्याय दोपहर के उजियाले के समान प्रगट करेगा।
7 Resign thyself unto the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
७यहोवा के सामने चुपचाप रह, और धीरज से उसकी प्रतिक्षा कर; उस मनुष्य के कारण न कुढ़, जिसके काम सफल होते हैं, और वह बुरी युक्तियों को निकालता है!
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.
८क्रोध से परे रह, और जलजलाहट को छोड़ दे! मत कुढ़, उससे बुराई ही निकलेगी।
9 For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait for the LORD, they shall inherit the land.
९क्योंकि कुकर्मी लोग काट डाले जाएँगे; और जो यहोवा की बाट जोहते हैं, वही पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे।
10 And yet a little while, and the wicked is no more; yea, thou shalt look well at his place, and he is not.
१०थोड़े दिन के बीतने पर दुष्ट रहेगा ही नहीं; और तू उसके स्थान को भली भाँति देखने पर भी उसको न पाएगा।
11 But the humble shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
११परन्तु नम्र लोग पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, और बड़ी शान्ति के कारण आनन्द मनाएँगे।
12 The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth at him with his teeth.
१२दुष्ट धर्मी के विरुद्ध बुरी युक्ति निकालता है, और उस पर दाँत पीसता है;
13 The Lord doth laugh at him; for He seeth that his day is coming.
१३परन्तु प्रभु उस पर हँसेगा, क्योंकि वह देखता है कि उसका दिन आनेवाला है।
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow; to cast down the poor and needy, to slay such as are upright in the way;
१४दुष्ट लोग तलवार खींचे और धनुष चढ़ाए हुए हैं, ताकि दीन दरिद्र को गिरा दें, और सीधी चाल चलनेवालों को वध करें।
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
१५उनकी तलवारों से उन्हीं के हृदय छिदेंगे, और उनके धनुष तोड़े जाएँगे।
16 Better is a little that the righteous hath than the abundance of many wicked.
१६धर्मी का थोड़ा सा धन दुष्टों के बहुत से धन से उत्तम है।
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
१७क्योंकि दुष्टों की भुजाएँ तो तोड़ी जाएँगी; परन्तु यहोवा धर्मियों को सम्भालता है।
18 The LORD knoweth the days of them that are wholehearted; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
१८यहोवा खरे लोगों की आयु की सुधि रखता है, और उनका भाग सदैव बना रहेगा।
19 They shall not be ashamed in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
१९विपत्ति के समय, वे लज्जित न होंगे, और अकाल के दिनों में वे तृप्त रहेंगे।
20 For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs — they shall pass away in smoke, they shall pass away.
२०दुष्ट लोग नाश हो जाएँगे; और यहोवा के शत्रु खेत की सुथरी घास के समान नाश होंगे, वे धुएँ के समान लुप्त हो जाएँगे।
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not; but the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.
२१दुष्ट ऋण लेता है, और भरता नहीं परन्तु धर्मी अनुग्रह करके दान देता है;
22 For such as are blessed of Him shall inherit the land; and they that are cursed of Him shall be cut off.
२२क्योंकि जो उससे आशीष पाते हैं वे तो पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, परन्तु जो उससे श्रापित होते हैं, वे नाश हो जाएँगे।
23 It is of the LORD that a man's goings are established; and He delighted in his way.
२३मनुष्य की गति यहोवा की ओर से दृढ़ होती है, और उसके चलन से वह प्रसन्न रहता है;
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholdeth his hand.
२४चाहे वह गिरे तो भी पड़ा न रह जाएगा, क्योंकि यहोवा उसका हाथ थामे रहता है।
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
२५मैं लड़कपन से लेकर बुढ़ापे तक देखता आया हूँ; परन्तु न तो कभी धर्मी को त्यागा हुआ, और न उसके वंश को टुकड़े माँगते देखा है।
26 All the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
२६वह तो दिन भर अनुग्रह कर करके ऋण देता है, और उसके वंश पर आशीष फलती रहती है।
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
२७बुराई को छोड़ भलाई कर; और तू सर्वदा बना रहेगा।
28 For the LORD loveth justice, and forsaketh not His saints; they are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
२८क्योंकि यहोवा न्याय से प्रीति रखता; और अपने भक्तों को न तजेगा। उनकी तो रक्षा सदा होती है, परन्तु दुष्टों का वंश काट डाला जाएगा।
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
२९धर्मी लोग पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, और उसमें सदा बसे रहेंगे।
30 The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh justice.
३०धर्मी अपने मुँह से बुद्धि की बातें करता, और न्याय का वचन कहता है।
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps slide.
३१उसके परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था उसके हृदय में बनी रहती है, उसके पैर नहीं फिसलते।
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
३२दुष्ट धर्मी की ताक में रहता है। और उसके मार डालने का यत्न करता है।
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor suffer him to be condemned when he is judged.
३३यहोवा उसको उसके हाथ में न छोड़ेगा, और जब उसका विचार किया जाए तब वह उसे दोषी न ठहराएगा।
34 Wait for the LORD, and keep His way, and He will exalt thee to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
३४यहोवा की बाट जोहता रह, और उसके मार्ग पर बना रह, और वह तुझे बढ़ाकर पृथ्वी का अधिकारी कर देगा; जब दुष्ट काट डाले जाएँगे, तब तू देखेगा।
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a leafy tree in its native soil.
३५मैंने दुष्ट को बड़ा पराक्रमी और ऐसा फैलता हुए देखा, जैसा कोई हरा पेड़ अपने निज भूमि में फैलता है।
36 But one passed by, and, lo, he was not; yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
३६परन्तु जब कोई उधर से गया तो देखा कि वह वहाँ है ही नहीं; और मैंने भी उसे ढूँढ़ा, परन्तु कहीं न पाया।
37 Mark the man of integrity, and behold the upright; for there is a future for the man of peace.
३७खरे मनुष्य पर दृष्टि कर और धर्मी को देख, क्योंकि मेल से रहनेवाले पुरुष का अन्तफल अच्छा है।
38 But transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
३८परन्तु अपराधी एक साथ सत्यानाश किए जाएँगे; दुष्टों का अन्तफल सर्वनाश है।
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
३९धर्मियों की मुक्ति यहोवा की ओर से होती है; संकट के समय वह उनका दृढ़ गढ़ है।
40 And the LORD helpeth them, and delivereth them; He delivereth them from the wicked, and saveth them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
४०यहोवा उनकी सहायता करके उनको बचाता है; वह उनको दुष्टों से छुड़ाकर उनका उद्धार करता है, इसलिए कि उन्होंने उसमें अपनी शरण ली है।
