Psalms 34

1 A Psalm of David; when he changed his demeanour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

தாவீது அபிமெலேக்கின் முன்பு பைத்தியம்போல் நடித்து, அவனால் துரத்திவிடப்படும்போது பாடின சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவை நான் எவ்வேளையிலும் புகழ்ந்து உயர்த்துவேன்; அவருக்குரிய துதி எப்பொழுதும் என் உதடுகளில் இருக்கும்.

2 My soul shall glory in the LORD; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

நான் யெகோவாவுக்குள் மகிமைப்படுவேன்; ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோர் இதைக் கேட்டு மகிழட்டும்.

3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.

என்னோடு சேர்ந்து யெகோவாவை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள்; நாம் ஒன்றுகூடி அவருடைய பெயரைப் புகழ்ந்து உயர்த்துவோம்.

4 I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

நான் யெகோவாவிடம் உதவி தேடினேன்; அவர் எனக்குப் பதில் தந்தார்; அவர் என்னுடைய எல்லாப் பயத்திலிருந்தும் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.

5 They looked unto Him, and were radiant; and their faces shall never be abashed.

அவரை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கிறவர்கள் பிரகாசமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய முகங்கள் ஒருபோதும் வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை.

6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard, and saved him out of all his troubles.

இந்த ஏழை கூப்பிட்டான், யெகோவா செவிகொடுத்து; அவனை அவனுடைய எல்லாப் பிரச்சனைகளிலிருந்தும் காப்பாற்றினார்.

7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them.

அவருக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிறவர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் யெகோவாவின் தூதன் முகாமிட்டு அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்.

8 O consider and see that the LORD is good; happy is the man that taketh refuge in Him.

யெகோவா நல்லவர் என்பதை ருசித்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவரிடத்தில் தஞ்சமடைகிறவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

9 O fear the LORD, ye His holy ones; for there is no want to them that fear Him.

யெகோவாவினுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களே, நீங்கள் அவருக்குப் பயந்து நடங்கள்; ஏனெனில் அவருக்குப் பயந்து நடப்பவர்களுக்கு எவ்விதக் குறைவும் ஏற்படுவதில்லை.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek the LORD want not any good thing.

இளம் சிங்கங்கள் பெலமிழந்து பசியாயிருக்கலாம்; ஆனால் யெகோவாவைத் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கோ ஒரு நன்மையும் குறைவுபடுவதில்லை.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

என் பிள்ளைகளே, வாருங்கள்; வந்து எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து நடப்பதைக் குறித்து நான் உங்களுக்குப் போதிப்பேன்.

12 Who is the man that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good therein?

உங்களில் யாராவது வாழ்வை நேசித்து அநேக நல்ல நாட்களைக் காண விரும்பினால்,

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

நீங்கள் உங்கள் நாவை தீமையைப் பேசுவதிலிருந்து விலக்கி, உங்கள் உதடுகளைப் பொய்ப் பேசுவதிலிருந்து காத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

தீமையைவிட்டு விலகி, நன்மையைச் செய்யுங்கள்; சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைப் பின்தொடருங்கள்.

15 The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

யெகோவாவினுடைய கண்கள் நீதிமான்கள்மேல் இருக்கின்றன; அவருடைய காதுகள் அவர்களுடைய கதறுதலைக் கவனமாய்க் கேட்கின்றன;

16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

ஆனால் தீமை செய்கிறவர்களைப் பற்றிய நினைவை பூமியிலிருந்தே அகற்றிப்போடும்படி, யெகோவாவினுடைய முகம் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் இருக்கிறது.

17 They cried, and the LORD heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.

நீதிமான்கள் கூப்பிடும்போது, யெகோவா அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறார்; அவர் அவர்களுடைய எல்லாத் துன்பங்களிலுமிருந்தும் அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்.

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.

யெகோவா உள்ளம் உடைந்து போனவர்களுக்கு அருகே இருக்கிறார்; ஆவியில் நொந்து இருக்கிறவர்களை யெகோவா காப்பாற்றுகிறார்.

19 Many are the ills of the righteous, but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

நீதிமானுக்கு அநேக துன்பங்கள் வரலாம், ஆனாலும் அவை எல்லாவற்றிலிருந்தும் யெகோவா அவனை விடுவிக்கிறார்.

20 He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.

அவர் அவனுடைய எலும்புகளையெல்லாம் பாதுகாக்கிறார்; அவற்றில் ஒன்றுகூட முறிக்கப்படாது.

21 Evil shall kill the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall be held guilty.

தீமை கொடியவர்களைக் கொல்லும்; நீதிமான்களின் பகைவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளாவார்கள்.

22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of His servants; and none of them that take refuge in Him shall be desolate.

யெகோவா தமது பணியாட்களைக் காப்பாற்றுகிறார்; அவரிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைகிற யாரும் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கப்படமாட்டான்.
