Psalms 29
1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe unto the LORD, O ye sons of might, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.
Un psaume de David. Rendez hommage à Yahvé, fils de puissants, attribuer à Yahvé la gloire et la force.
2 Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Rendez à Yahvé la gloire due à son nom. Adorez Yahvé dans une tenue sacrée.
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; the God of glory thundereth, even the LORD upon many waters.
La voix de Yahvé est sur les eaux. Le Dieu de gloire tonne, Yahvé sur les grandes eaux.
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
La voix de Yahvé est puissante. La voix de Yahvé est pleine de majesté.
5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
La voix de Yahvé brise les cèdres. Oui, Yahvé brise en morceaux les cèdres du Liban.
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.
Il les fait aussi sauter comme un veau; le Liban et le Sirion comme un jeune bœuf sauvage.
7 The voice of the LORD heweth out flames of fire.
La voix de Yahvé frappe avec des éclairs.
8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
La voix de Yahvé fait trembler le désert. Yahvé secoue le désert de Kadesh.
9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and strippeth the forests bare; and in His temple all say: 'Glory.'
La voix de Yahvé fait vêler les biches, et dépouille les forêts. Dans son temple, tout dit: « Gloire! »
10 The LORD sat enthroned at the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth as King for ever.
Yahvé était assis sur un trône au moment du déluge. Oui, Yahvé siège comme roi pour toujours.
11 The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
Yahvé donnera de la force à son peuple. Yahvé bénira son peuple par la paix.
