Psalms 28

1 A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I call; my Rock, be not Thou deaf unto me; lest, if Thou be silent unto me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

A Ti clamo, oh Yavé, Roca mía. No enmudezcas para mí, Porque si Tú enmudeces para mí, Seré como los que bajan a la fosa.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto Thee, when I lift up my hands toward Thy holy Sanctuary.

Oye la voz de mis súplicas cuando clamo a Ti, Cuando levanto mis manos hacia tu Santuario.

3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity; who speak peace with their neighbours, but evil is in their hearts.

No me arrastres junto con los impíos, Quienes hacen iniquidad Y hablan de paz con su prójimo, Pero la perversidad está en sus corazones.

4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the evil of their endeavours; give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Dales conforme a su obra y según la perversidad de sus hechos. Retribúyeles de acuerdo con las obras de sus manos. ¡Dales su recompensa!

5 Because they give no heed to the works of the LORD, nor to the operation of His hands; He will break them down and not build them up.

Porque no entienden los hechos de Yavé, Ni las obras de sus manos, Él los derribará y no los edificará.

6 Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my supplications.

¡Bendito sea Yavé, Porque escuchó la voz de mi súplica!

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield, in Him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth, and with my song will I praise Him.

Yavé es mi Fortaleza y mi Escudo. Confió mi corazón en Él Y fui ayudado, Por lo cual se regocija mi corazón. Lo alabaré con mi canto.

8 The LORD is a strength unto them; and He is a stronghold of salvation to His anointed.

Yavé es la Fortaleza [de su pueblo], Y el Refugio salvador de su ungido.

9 Save Thy people, and bless Thine inheritance; and tend them, and carry them for ever.

¡Salva a tu pueblo, Y bendice tu heredad! ¡Pastoréalos y cárgalos para siempre!
