Psalms 28

1 A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I call; my Rock, be not Thou deaf unto me; lest, if Thou be silent unto me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Salmo de Davi: A ti, SENHOR, rocha minha, eu clamo; não te silencies para comigo; para que não [aconteça de, se] tu calares quanto a mim, eu não [me torne] semelhante aos que descem à cova.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto Thee, when I lift up my hands toward Thy holy Sanctuary.

Ouve a voz de minhas súplicas, quando eu clamar a ti, ao levantar às minhas mãos ao templo de tua santidade.

3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity; who speak peace with their neighbours, but evil is in their hearts.

Não me jogues fora com os perversos, nem com os praticantes da maldade, que falam de paz com sem próximo, porém [há] o mal no coração deles.

4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the evil of their endeavours; give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Dá-lhes conforme as obras deles, e conforme a maldade de seus atos; dá-lhes conforme a obra das mãos deles, retribui-lhes como eles merecem.

5 Because they give no heed to the works of the LORD, nor to the operation of His hands; He will break them down and not build them up.

Porque eles não dão atenção para os atos do SENHOR, nem para a obra de suas mãos; [então] ele os derrubará e não os edificará.

6 Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my supplications.

Bendito [seja] o SENHOR, porque ele ouviu a voz de minhas súplicas.

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield, in Him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth, and with my song will I praise Him.

O SENHOR [é] a minha força e meu escudo; meu coração confiou nele, e foi socorrido; por isso meu coração salta de alegria; e com meu canto eu o louvarei.

8 The LORD is a strength unto them; and He is a stronghold of salvation to His anointed.

O SENHOR [é] a força deles, e o poder das salvações de seu Ungido.

9 Save Thy people, and bless Thine inheritance; and tend them, and carry them for ever.

Salva a teu povo, e abençoa a tua herança; e apascenta-os, e levanta-os para sempre.
