Psalms 25
1 A Psalm of David. Unto Thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
Pesem Davidova: K tebi, Gospod, dvigam dušo svojo.
2 O my God, in Thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Bog moj, v té zaupam, naj se ne osramotim, sovražniki moji naj se ne radujejo nad mano.
3 Yea, none that wait for Thee shall be ashamed; they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
Tudi kdor čaka tebe, naj se ne osramoti; osramoté se naj, kateri izdajalsko ravnajo po krivem.
4 Show me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths.
Pota svoja mi kaži, Gospod; steze svoje úči me.
5 Guide me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee do I wait all the day.
Daj, da hodim po resnici tvoji, in úči me; ker ti si Bog blaginje moje, tebe čakam ves dan.
6 Remember, O LORD, Thy compassions and Thy mercies; for they have been from of old.
Spomni se usmiljenja svojega, Gospod, in milosti svojih, da so od vekomaj.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
Grehov mladosti moje in pregreškov mojih ne spominjaj se; po milosti svoji spominjaj se me ti, zavoljo dobrote svoje, Gospod.
8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore doth He instruct sinners in the way.
Dober in pravičen je Gospod: zatorej uči grešnike pot;
9 He guideth The humble in justice; and He teacheth the humble His way.
Dela, da hodijo krotki po pravici, in krotke uči pot svojo.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Vse steze Gospodove so milost in zvestoba njim, ki hranijo zavezo njegovo in pričanja njegova.
11 For Thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
Zavoljo imena svojega, Gospod, bodeš torej prizanesel krivici moji, ker velika je.
12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him will He instruct in the way that He should choose.
Kakošen bode mož tisti, kateri se boji Gospoda, ki ga uči, katero pot naj izvoli?
13 His soul shall abide in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the land.
Duša njegova bode prenočevala v dobrem, in seme njegovo bode dedovalo deželo.
14 The counsel of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and His covenant, to make them know it.
Skrivnost Gospodova biva pri njih, ki se ga bojé, in zaveza njegova, da po izkušnji priča zanje.
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for He will bring forth my feet out of the net.
Oči moje gledajo neprestano v Gospoda; ker on potegne iz mreže noge moje.
16 Turn Thee unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
Ozri se v mé, in milost mi stóri; ker samoten sem in ubožen.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring Thou me out of my distresses.
Stiske srca mojega se razširjajo; iz nadlog mojih potegni me.
18 See mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
Poglej siromaštvo moje in težavo mojo; in odpusti vse grehe moje.
19 Consider how many are mine enemies, and the cruel hatred wherewith they hate me.
Ozri se v sovražnike moje, ker močneji so; in s hudim sovraštvom me sovražijo.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in Thee.
Reši dušo mojo in otmi me; naj se ne osramotim, ker pribegam k tebi.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee.
Poštenost naj me brani in pravica, ker tebe čakam.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Reši, Bog, Izraela vseh zatiranj njegovih.
