Psalms 25
1 A Psalm of David. Unto Thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
Par David. Vers toi, Yahvé, j'élève mon âme.
2 O my God, in Thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Mon Dieu, je me suis confié à toi. Ne me laisse pas avoir honte. Ne laisse pas mes ennemis triompher de moi.
3 Yea, none that wait for Thee shall be ashamed; they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
Oui, celui qui t'attend n'aura pas à rougir. Ceux qui trahissent sans raison seront honteux.
4 Show me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths.
Montre-moi tes voies, Yahvé. Apprenez-moi vos chemins.
5 Guide me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee do I wait all the day.
Guide-moi dans ta vérité, et enseigne-moi, car tu es le Dieu de mon salut. Je t'attends toute la journée.
6 Remember, O LORD, Thy compassions and Thy mercies; for they have been from of old.
Yahvé, souviens-toi de ta tendresse et de ta bonté, car ils sont d'un autre temps.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
Ne te souviens pas des péchés de ma jeunesse, ni de mes transgressions. Souviens-toi de moi selon ta bonté, pour l'amour de ta bonté, Yahvé.
8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore doth He instruct sinners in the way.
Yahvé est bon et droit, c'est pourquoi il instruira les pécheurs dans la voie.
9 He guideth The humble in justice; and He teacheth the humble His way.
Il guidera les humbles dans la justice. Il enseignera sa voie aux humbles.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Tous les chemins de l'Éternel sont la bonté et la vérité. à ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses témoignages.
11 For Thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
A cause de ton nom, Yahvé, pardonnez mon iniquité, car elle est grande.
12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him will He instruct in the way that He should choose.
Quel est l'homme qui craint Yahvé? Il l'instruira dans la voie qu'il choisira.
13 His soul shall abide in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the land.
Son âme reposera en paix. Sa progéniture héritera de la terre.
14 The counsel of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and His covenant, to make them know it.
L'amitié de Yahvé est avec ceux qui le craignent. Il leur montrera son alliance.
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for He will bring forth my feet out of the net.
Mes yeux sont toujours fixés sur Yahvé, car il arrachera mes pieds du filet.
16 Turn Thee unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
Tournez-vous vers moi, et ayez pitié de moi, car je suis désolée et affligée.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring Thou me out of my distresses.
Les troubles de mon cœur s'élargissent. Oh, sors-moi de ma détresse.
18 See mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
Considérez mon affliction et mon travail. Pardonnez tous mes péchés.
19 Consider how many are mine enemies, and the cruel hatred wherewith they hate me.
Considérez mes ennemis, car ils sont nombreux. Ils me haïssent d'une haine cruelle.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in Thee.
Oh, garde mon âme, et délivre-moi. Que je ne sois pas déçu, car je me réfugie en toi.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee.
Que l'intégrité et la droiture me préservent, car je t'attends.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Dieu, rachète Israël de tous ses problèmes.
