Psalms 24

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Ein Psalm Davids. Die Erde ist des HERRN, und was drinnen ist, der Erdboden, und was drauf wohnet.

2 For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Denn er hat ihn an die Meere gegründet und an den Wassern bereitet.

3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the LORD? and who shall stand in His holy place?

Wer wird auf des HERRN Berg gehen? und wer wird stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not taken My name in vain, and hath not sworn deceitfully.

Der unschuldige Hände hat und reines Herzens ist; der nicht Lust hat zu loser Lehre und schwöret nicht fälschlich.

5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Der wird den Segen vom HERRN empfahen und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils.

6 Such is the generation of them that seek after Him, that seek Thy face, even Jacob. (Selah)

Das ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm fraget, das da suchet dein Antlitz, Jakob. (Sela)

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; that the King of glory may come in.

Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, daß der König der Ehren einziehe!

8 'Who is the King of glory?' 'The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.'

Wer ist derselbe König der Ehren? Es ist der HERR, stark und mächtig, der HERR, mächtig im Streit.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates, yea, lift them up, ye everlasting doors; that the King of glory may come in.

Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, daß der König der Ehren einziehe!

10 'Who then is the King of glory?' 'The LORD of hosts; He is the King of glory.' (Selah)

Wer ist derselbe König der Ehren? Es ist der HERR Zebaoth, er ist der König der Ehren. (Sela)
