Psalms 20

1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David. The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;

Al maestro de coro. Salmo de David. Que Yahvé te escuche en el día de la prueba; te defienda el Nombre del Dios de Jacob.

2 Send forth thy help from the sanctuary, and support thee out of Zion;

Él te envíe su auxilio desde el santuario, y desde Sión te sostenga.

3 Receive the memorial of all thy meal-offerings, and accept the fat of thy burnt-sacrifice; (Selah)

Acuérdese de todas tus ofrendas y séale grato tu holocausto.

4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Te conceda lo que tu corazón anhela y confirme todos tus designios.

5 We will shout for joy in thy victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our standards; the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

Séanos dado ver gozosos tu victoria, y alzar el pendón en el nombre de nuestro Dios. Otorgue el Señor todas tus peticiones.

6 Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the mighty acts of His saving right hand.

Ahora ya sé que Yahvé dará el triunfo a su ungido, respondiéndole desde su santo cielo con la potencia victoriosa de su diestra.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.

Aquellos en sus carros, estos en sus caballos; mas nosotros seremos fuertes en el Nombre de [Yahvé] nuestro Dios.

8 They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen, and stand upright.

Ellos se doblegarán y caerán; mas nosotros estaremos erguidos, y nos mantendremos.

9 Save, LORD; let the King answer us in the day that we call.

Oh Yahvé, salva al rey, y escúchanos en este día en que apelamos a Ti.
