Psalms 20

1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David. The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;

Para o músico chefe. Um Salmo de David. Que Yahweh lhe responda no dia do problema. Que o nome do Deus de Jacob o coloque no alto,

2 Send forth thy help from the sanctuary, and support thee out of Zion;

send você ajuda a partir do santuário, conceder-lhe apoio de Zion,

3 Receive the memorial of all thy meal-offerings, and accept the fat of thy burnt-sacrifice; (Selah)

remember todas as suas ofertas, e aceitar seu sacrifício queimado. (Selah)

4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Que ele lhe conceda o desejo do seu coração, e cumprir todos os seus conselhos.

5 We will shout for joy in thy victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our standards; the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

Nós triunfaremos em sua salvação. Em nome de nosso Deus, colocaremos nossas bandeiras. Que Yahweh atenda a todos os seus pedidos.

6 Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the mighty acts of His saving right hand.

Now Eu sei que Yahweh salva seu ungido. Ele lhe responderá de seu santo céu, com a força salvadora de sua mão direita.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.

Some confiança em carruagens, e alguns em cavalos, mas confiamos no nome de Yahweh nosso Deus.

8 They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen, and stand upright.

Eles são curvados e caídos, mas nos levantamos, e nos levantamos de pé.

9 Save, LORD; let the King answer us in the day that we call.

Save, Yahweh! Que o Rei nos responda quando chamarmos!
