Psalms 2
1 Why are the nations in an uproar? And why do the peoples mutter in vain?
௧தேசங்கள் ஏன் கொந்தளிக்க வேண்டும்? மக்கள் வீணான காரியத்தை ஏன் சிந்திக்கவேண்டும்?
2 The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed:
௨யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், அவர் அபிஷேகம்செய்தவருக்கு விரோதமாகவும், பூமியின் இராஜாக்கள் எழும்பி நின்று, அதிகாரிகள் ஒன்றாக ஆலோசனைசெய்து:
3 'Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.'
௩அவர்களுடைய கட்டுகளை அறுத்து, அவர்களுடைய கயிறுகளை நம்மைவிட்டு எறிந்துபோடுவோம்; என்கிறார்கள்.
4 He that sitteth in heaven laugheth, the Lord hath them in derision.
௪பரலோகத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறவர் சிரிப்பார்; ஆண்டவர் அவர்களை இகழுவார்.
5 Then will He speak unto them in His wrath, and affright them in His sore displeasure:
௫அப்பொழுது அவர் தமது கோபத்திலே அவர்களுடன் பேசுவார். தமது கடுங்கோபத்திலே அவர்களைக் கலங்கச்செய்வார்.
6 'Truly it is I that have established My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.'
௬நான் என்னுடைய பரிசுத்தமலையாகிய சீயோனில் என்னுடைய இராஜாவை அபிஷேகம்செய்து வைத்தேன் என்றார்.
7 I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me: 'Thou art My son, this day have I begotten thee.
௭தீர்மானத்தின் விவரம் சொல்லுவேன்; யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி, நீர் என்னுடைய மகன், இன்று நான் உம்மை பிறக்கச்செய்தேன்;
8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession.
௮என்னைக் கேளும், அப்பொழுது தேசங்களை உமக்குச் சொத்தாகவும், பூமியின் எல்லைகளை உமக்குச் சொந்தமாகவும் கொடுப்பேன்;
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.'
௯இரும்புக் கோலால் அவர்களை நொறுக்கி, குயவனின் மண்பாண்டத்தைப்போல் அவர்களை உடைத்துப்போடுவீர் என்று சொன்னார்.
10 Now therefore, O ye kings, be wise; be admonished, ye judges of the earth.
௧0இப்போதும் இராஜாக்களே, உணர்வடையுங்கள், பூமியின் நியாயாதிபதிகளே, எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
௧௧பயத்துடனே யெகோவாவுக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யுங்கள், நடுக்கத்துடனே மகிழ்ந்திருங்கள்.
12 Do homage in purity, lest He be angry, and ye perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him.
௧௨தேவமகன் கோபங்கொள்ளாமலும், நீங்கள் வழியிலே அழியாமலும் இருப்பதற்கு, தேவனை முத்தம்செய்யுங்கள்; கொஞ்சக்காலத்திலே தேவனுடைய கோபம் பற்றியெரியும்; அவரிடம் அடைக்கலமாக இருக்கிற அனைவரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.
