Psalms 2

1 Why are the nations in an uproar? And why do the peoples mutter in vain?

¿Por qué las naciones se alborotan tan violentamente, y por qué los pensamientos de la gente son tan tontos?

2 The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed:

Los reyes de la tierra tomaron su lugar, y los gobernantes juntos consultarán unidos. contra el Señor y contra el rey escogido, diciendo:

3 'Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.'

¡Sean rotas sus cadenas, y sus cuerdas sean quitadas de nosotros!

4 He that sitteth in heaven laugheth, the Lord hath them in derision.

Entonces aquel que mora en los cielos se reirá; el Señor se burlará de ellos.

5 Then will He speak unto them in His wrath, and affright them in His sore displeasure:

Entonces vendrán sus palabras de ira a oídos de ellos, y con su ira se asustarán.

6 'Truly it is I that have established My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.'

Pero he puesto a mi rey en mi santo monte de Sión.

7 I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me: 'Thou art My son, this day have I begotten thee.

Dejaré en claro la decisión del Señor: él me ha dicho: Tú eres mi hijo, hoy te he engendrado.

8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession.

Pídeme, y yo te daré las naciones por tu herencia, y los límites más lejanos de la tierra estarán bajo tu mano.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.'

Ellos serán gobernados por ti con una vara de hierro; se romperán como el vaso de un alfarero.

10 Now therefore, O ye kings, be wise; be admonished, ye judges of the earth.

Así que ahora sean sabios, ustedes reyes: tomen su enseñanza, jueces de la tierra.

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Adoren al Señor con reverencia y alegría, postrándose a sus pies y dándole honor,

12 Do homage in purity, lest He be angry, and ye perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him.

Honren al Hijo, Por temor a que él se enoje, haciendo que la destrucción venga sobre ustedes en el camino. porque él se enoja rápidamente. Felices son todos los que ponen su fe en él.
