1 Hallelujah. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.
alleluia laudate Dominum de caelis laudate eum in excelsis
2 Praise ye Him, all His angels; praise ye Him, all His hosts.
laudate eum omnes angeli eius laudate eum omnes virtutes eius
3 Praise ye Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all ye stars of light.
laudate eum sol et luna laudate eum omnes stellae et lumen
4 Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens.
laudate eum caeli caelorum et aqua quae super caelum est
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD; for He commanded, and they were created.
laudent nomen Domini quia ipse dixit et facta sunt ipse mandavit et creata sunt
6 He hath also established them for ever and ever; He hath made a decree which shall not be transgressed.
statuit ea in saeculum et in saeculum saeculi praeceptum posuit et non praeteribit
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye sea-monsters, and all deeps;
laudate Dominum de terra dracones et omnes abyssi
8 Fire and hail, snow and vapour, stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
ignis grando nix glacies spiritus procellarum quae faciunt verbum eius
9 Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars;
montes et omnes colles ligna fructifera et omnes cedri
10 Beasts and all cattle, creeping things and winged fowl;
bestiae et universa pecora serpentes et volucres pinnatae
11 Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth;
reges terrae et omnes populi principes et omnes iudices terrae
12 Both young men and maidens, old men and children;
iuvenes et virgines senes cum iunioribus laudent nomen Domini
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.
quia exaltatum est nomen eius solius
14 And He hath lifted up a horn for His people, a praise for all His saints, even for the children of Israel, a people near unto Him. Hallelujah.
