Psalms 147
1 Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
¡Alaben al Señor, porque es bueno cantar alabanzas a Dios! ¡Alabarle es bueno y maravilloso!
2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem, He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel;
El Señor reconstruirá Jerusalén y reunirá al pueblo que ha sido esparcido.
3 Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Él sana a los de corazón quebrantado, y venda las heridas.
4 He counteth the number of the stars; He giveth them all their names.
Él sabe cuántas estrellas fueron hechas, y las llama a cada una por su nombre.
5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
¡Cuán grande es nuestro Señor! ¡Su poder es inmenso! ¡Su conocimiento es infinito!
6 The LORD upholdeth the humble; He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.
El Señor ayuda a levantar a los agobiados, pero a los malvados los derriba.
7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving, sing praises upon the harp unto our God;
¡Canten con agradecimiento al Señor! ¡Canten alabanzas a Dios con arpa!
8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh the mountains to spring with grass.
Él cubre el cielo con nubes para traer lluvia a la tierra, y hace crecer el pasto en las colinas.
9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
Él alimenta a los animales, y a los cuervos cuando lo piden.
10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse; He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man.
El Señor no se complace de la fuera de caballos de guerra ni del poder humano.
11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that wait for His mercy.
En cambio el Señor se alegra con quienes lo siguen, aquellos que ponen su confianza en su amor y fidelidad.
12 Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
¡Alaba al Señor, Jerusalén! ¡Sión, alaba a tu Dios!
13 For He hath made strong the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.
Él fortalece las rejas de las puertas de la ciudad, y bendice a los hijos que habitan contigo.
14 He maketh thy borders peace; He giveth thee in plenty the fat of wheat.
Él mantiene las fronteras de tu nación seguras contra los ataques, y te provee del mejor trigo.
15 He sendeth out His commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly.
Él envía sus órdenes por todo el mundo y de inmediato su voluntad es ejecutada.
16 He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.
Él envía la nieve tan blanca como la lana, y esparce la escarcha de hielo como cenizas.
17 He casteth forth His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold?
Él envía el granizo como piedras. ¿Quién pudiera soportar el frío que él envía?
18 He sendeth forth His word, and melteth them; He causeth His wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Entonces con su voz de mando la hace derretir. Él sopla y el agua fluye.
19 He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel.
Él proclama su palabra a Jacob; sus principios y leyes a Israel.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Hallelujah.
Él no ha hecho estas cosas por ninguna otra nación, pues ellos no conocen sus leyes. ¡Alaben al Señor!
