Psalms 145
1 A Psalm of praise; of David. I will extol Thee, my God, O King; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever.
Ein Loblied, von David. - Erheben will ich Dich, mein Gott, Du König, und Deinen Namen immerdar und ewig preisen.
2 Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name for ever and ever.
Ich will Dich jeden Tag lobpreisen und immer und auf ewig Deinen Namen rühmen: -
3 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
"Groß ist der Herr und hoch zu preisen und unerforschlich seine Größe",
4 One generation shall laud Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.
daß ein Geschlecht dem andere Deine Werke rühme und Deine großen Taten künde.
5 The glorious splendour of Thy majesty, and Thy wondrous works, will I rehearse.
Vom wundervollen Glanze Deiner Herrschergröße, von Deinen Wundertaten will ich singen.
6 And men shall speak of the might of Thy tremendous acts; and I will tell of Thy greatness.
Daß man von Deiner Schreckenstaten Größe rede, will ich von Deinen Großtaten erzählen.
7 They shall utter the fame of Thy great goodness, and shall sing of Thy righteousness.
Lob Deiner großen Güte ströme aus, und Jubel preise Deine Liebe! -
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
Der Herr ist gnädig und barmherzig, geduldig und von großer Güte.
9 The LORD is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.
Der Herr ist gütig gegen alle, voll Liebe zu seinen Geschöpfen all.
10 All Thy works shall praise Thee, O LORD; and Thy saints shall bless Thee.
Dich sollen alle Deine Werke loben, Herr, und Deine Frommen Dich lobpreisen!
11 They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy might;
Von Deines Reiches Glanze sollen sie erzähle und Deine Macht verkünden
12 To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of His kingdom.
und so die andern Deine großen Taten lehren und Deines Reiches Pracht und Herrlichkeit!
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
Dein Reich ist ja ein Reich für alle Zeiten, und Deine Herrschaft reicht bis zu den äußersten Geschlechtern.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that are bowed down.
Der Herr stützt alle Wankenden und richtet alle, die gebeugt sind, auf.
15 The eyes of all wait for Thee, and Thou givest them their food in due season.
Die Augen aller schauen hin auf Dich; Du speisest sie zur rechten Zeit.
16 Thou openest Thy hand, and satisfiest every living thing with favour.
Du öffnest Deine Hand und sättigst alles, was da lebt, mit Lust. -
17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His works.
In allen seinen Wegen ist der Herr so gütig, in allen seinen Werken liebevoll.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.
Der Herr ist allen nahe, die ihn rufen, ja allen, die mit Recht ihn rufen dürfen,
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
erfüllt die Wünsche derer, die ihn fürchten, vernimmt ihr Schreien und errettet sie.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love Him; but all the wicked will He destroy.
Der Herr behütet alle, die ihn lieben, und rottet alle Frevler aus.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.
So singt mein Mund das Lob des Herrn, daß alles Fleisch lobpreise seinen heiligen Namen für immer und auf ewig.
