Psalms 145
1 A Psalm of praise; of David. I will extol Thee, my God, O King; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever.
א I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever.
2 Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name for ever and ever.
בּ Every day I will praise you. I will extol your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
גּ Great is Adonai, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall laud Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.
דּ One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.
5 The glorious splendour of Thy majesty, and Thy wondrous works, will I rehearse.
ה Of the glorious majesty of your kavod ·weighty glory·, of your wondrous works, I will meditate.
6 And men shall speak of the might of Thy tremendous acts; and I will tell of Thy greatness.
ו Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.
7 They shall utter the fame of Thy great goodness, and shall sing of Thy righteousness.
ז They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
ח Adonai is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great chesed ·loving-kindness·.
9 The LORD is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.
ט Adonai is good to all. His tender rachamim ·merciful loves· is over all his works.
10 All Thy works shall praise Thee, O LORD; and Thy saints shall bless Thee.
י All your works will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, Adonai. Your saints will extol you.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy might;
כּ They will speak of the kavod ·weighty glory· of your kingdom, and talk about your power;
12 To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of His kingdom.
ל to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the kavod ·weighty glory· of the majesty of his kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
מ Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Adonai is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that are bowed down.
ס Adonai upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait for Thee, and Thou givest them their food in due season.
ע The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.
16 Thou openest Thy hand, and satisfiest every living thing with favour.
פּ You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His works.
צ Adonai is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.
ק Adonai is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
ר He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will sh'ma ·hear obey· their cry, and will save them.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love Him; but all the wicked will He destroy.
שׁ Adonai preserves all those who 'ahav ·affectionately love· him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.
תּ My mouth will speak the tehilah ·praise song· of Adonai. Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
