< Psalms 137 >
1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
KIT momoder ni kailan pilap en Papel akan o sangesang, ni at tamanda Sion.
2 Upon the willows in the midst thereof we hanged up our harps.
Kit langadar at arp akan nin tuka kan, me mi wasa o,
3 For there they that led us captive asked of us words of song, and our tormentors asked of us mirth: 'Sing us one of the songs of Zion.'
Pwe me sali kit edi inda, sen kaul, o sen pereperen ni at mamaiei: Komail wiai ong kit kaul apot duen Sion.
4 How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a foreign land?
Iaduen at pan kak wiada kaul ong Ieowa nan sap en men wai?
5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
Ma i pan monoke uk ala Ierusalem, pa i pali maun ap pil pan monokinokla.
6 Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I remember thee not; if I set not Jerusalem above my chiefest joy.
Lo i pan pas ong pan ngatangat ai, ma i solar pan taman uk adar, ma i solar pan peren kida Ierusalem mon meakaros.
7 Remember, O LORD, against the children of Edom the day of Jerusalem; who said: 'Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.'
Maing Ieowa, kom kotin tamanda en men Edom ar lokolokaia ni ran apwal en Ierusalem: Kawela, kawela lao lel ong nan pwel!
8 O daughter of Babylon, that art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that repayeth thee as thou hast served us.
Toun Papel, morsued koe, re meid pai, me pan wiai ong uk duen me koe wiadar!
9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the rock.
Meid pai ir, me pan koledi noum seri pwelel o kasuk pasang nin takai!
