Psalms 130

1 A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.

[Ein Stufenlied.] Aus den Tiefen rufe ich zu dir, Jehova!

2 Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

Herr, höre auf meine Stimme! laß deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

3 If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

Wenn du, Jehova, [Hebr. Jah] merkst auf [O. behältst] die Ungerechtigkeiten: Herr, wer wird bestehen?

4 For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

Doch bei dir ist Vergebung, [Eig. das Vergeben] damit du gefürchtet werdest.

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.

Ich warte [O. hoffe hofft] auf Jehova, meine Seele wartet; [O. hoffe hofft] und auf sein Wort harre ich.

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.

Meine Seele harrt auf den Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, die Wächter auf den Morgen.

7 O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.

Harre, Israel, auf Jehova! denn bei Jehova ist die Güte, und viel Erlösung bei ihm.

8 And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Und er, er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Ungerechtigkeiten.
