Psalms 13

1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD, wilt Thou forget me for ever? How long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me?

¿Me olvidarás para siempre de tu memoria, oh Señor? ¿Hasta cuando tu rostro se alejará para siempre de mí?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart by day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

¿Cuánto tiempo habrán de sufrir mi alma, y con tristeza en mi corazón todo el día? ¿Hasta cuándo tendrá poder sobre mí el que está en mi contra?

3 Behold Thou, and answer me, O LORD my God; lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Mírame y dame una respuesta, oh Señor mi Dios; deja que tu luz brille sobre mí, para que el sueño de la muerte no me alcance;

4 Lest mine enemy say: 'I have prevailed against him'; lest mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

Y el que está contra mí no puede decir: yo lo he vencido; y aquellos que me molestan pueden no estar contentos si yo resbalara.

5 But as for me, in Thy mercy do I trust; my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation.

Pero he tenido fe en tu misericordia; mi corazón se alegrará en tu salvación.

6 I will sing unto the LORD, because He hath dealt bountifully with me.

Cantaré al Señor, por él bien que me ha hecho.
