Psalms 126

1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like unto them that dream.

Une chanson d'ascension. Lorsque Yahvé ramena ceux qui étaient revenus à Sion, nous étions comme ceux qui rêvent.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the nations: 'The LORD hath done great things with these.'

Et notre bouche s'est remplie de rires, et notre langue avec des chants. Alors on dit parmi les nations, « Yahvé a fait de grandes choses pour eux. »

3 The LORD hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced.

Yahvé a fait de grandes choses pour nous, et nous sommes heureux.

4 Turn our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the dry land.

Rétablis notre fortune, Yahvé, comme les ruisseaux du Néguev.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Ceux qui sèment dans les larmes récolteront dans la joie.

6 Though he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, he shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves.

Celui qui s'en va en pleurant, portant de la semence pour semer, reviendra certainement avec joie, portant ses gerbes.
