Psalms 122

1 A Song of Ascents; of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me: 'Let us go unto the house of the LORD.'

Alegrei-me quando me disseram: Vamos á casa do Senhor.

2 Our feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem;

Os nossos pés estão dentro das tuas portas, ó Jerusalem.

3 Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together;

Jerusalem está edificada como uma cidade que é compacta,

4 Whither the tribes went up, even the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

Onde sobem as tribus, as tribus do Senhor, até o testemunho d'Israel, para darem graças ao nome do Senhor.

5 For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

Pois ali estão os thronos do juizo, os thronos da casa de David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee.

Orae pela paz de Jerusalem: prosperarão aquelles que te amam.

7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

Haja paz dentro de teus muros, e prosperidade dentro dos teus palacios.

8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say: 'Peace be within thee.'

Por causa dos meus irmãos e amigos, direi: Paz esteja em ti.

9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Por causa da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, buscarei o teu bem.
