Psalms 121

1 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?

Ein Stufenlied. Ich hebe meine Augen auf zu den Bergen, woher meine Hilfe kommen wird.

2 My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Meine Hilfe kommt von Jehova, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Er wird nicht zulassen, daß dein Fuß wanke; dein Hüter schlummert nicht.

4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep.

Siehe, der Hüter Israels, nicht schlummert noch schläft er.

5 The LORD is thy keeper; the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Jehova ist dein Hüter, Jehova ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Nicht wird die Sonne dich stechen des Tages, noch der Mond des Nachts.

7 The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul.

Jehova wird dich behüten vor allem Übel, er wird behüten deine Seele.

8 The LORD shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for ever.

Jehova wird behüten deinen Ausgang und deinen Eingang, von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.
