Psalms 121

1 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?

Veisu korkeimmassa Kuorissa. Minä nostan silmäni mäkiin päin, joista minulle apu tulee.

2 My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Minun apuni tulee Herralta, joka taivaan ja maan tehnyt on.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Ei hän salli jalkas horjua; eikä se torku, joka sinua kätkee.

4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep.

Katso, joka Israelia varjelee, ei se torku eli makaa.

5 The LORD is thy keeper; the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Herra kätkeköön sinua: Herra on sinun varjos, sinun oikialla kädelläs,

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Ettei aurinko sinua polttaisi päivällä, eikä kuu yöllä.

7 The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul.

Herra kätkeköön sinun kaikesta pahasta: hän kätkeköön sinun sielus!

8 The LORD shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for ever.

Herra kätkeköön sinun uloskäymises ja sisällekäymises, hamasta nyt ja ijankaikkiseen!
