Psalms 12

1 For the Leader; on the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. അഷ്ടമരാഗത്തിൽ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, സഹായിക്കണമേ, ദൈവഭക്തർ ഇല്ലാതെപോകുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തർ മനുഷ്യഗണത്തിൽനിന്നു മാഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour; with flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളുടെ അയൽവാസികളോട് കളവുപറയുന്നു; അവർ അധരങ്ങളിൽ മുഖസ്തുതിയും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വഞ്ചനയുംവെച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things!

മുഖസ്തുതി പറയുന്ന എല്ലാ അധരങ്ങളും അഹന്തപൊഴിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ നാവും യഹോവ മുറിച്ചെറിയട്ടെ—

4 Who have said: 'Our tongue will we make mighty; our lips are with us: who is lord over us?'

അവർ പറയുന്നു, “ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാവിനാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ജയിക്കും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തുണ— ആരാണ് ഇനി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഭരണകർത്താവ്?”

5 'For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise', saith the LORD; 'I will set him in safety at whom they puff.'

“പീഡിതരുടെ നാശവും ദരിദ്രരുടെ നെടുവീർപ്പും നിമിത്തം, ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ എഴുന്നേൽക്കും,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “അവരുടെ പീഡകരിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ അവരെ കാത്തുരക്ഷിക്കും.”

6 The words of the LORD are pure words, as silver tried in a crucible on the earth, refined seven times.

യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങൾ കളങ്കരഹിതമാകുന്നു, കളിമണ്ണുലയിൽ ഏഴുപ്രാവശ്യം ഉരുക്കി, ശുദ്ധിചെയ്ത വെള്ളിപോലെയാണ്.

7 Thou wilt keep them, O LORD; Thou wilt preserve us from this generation for ever.

യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് പീഡിതരെ സുരക്ഷിതരാക്കും ദുഷ്ടരിൽനിന്ന് എന്നും അവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കും,

8 The wicked walk on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

മനുഷ്യർക്കിടയിൽ നിന്ദ്യമായവ ആദരിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ ദുഷ്ടർ എല്ലായിടത്തും സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിഹരിക്കുന്നു.
