Psalms 118
1 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'
ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र करो, क्यूँकि वह भला है; और उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है!
2 So let Israel now say, for His mercy endureth for ever,
इस्राईल अब कहे, उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है।
3 So let the house of Aaron now say, for His mercy endureth for ever.
हारून का घराना अब कहे, उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है।
4 So let them now that fear the LORD say, for His mercy endureth for ever.
ख़ुदावन्द से डरने वाले अब कहें, उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है।
5 Out of my straits I called upon the LORD; He answered me with great enlargement.
मैंने मुसीबत में ख़ुदावन्द से दुआ की, ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे जवाब दिया और कुशादगी बख़्शी।
6 The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
ख़ुदावन्द मेरी तरफ़ है, मैं नहीं डरने का; इंसान मेरा क्या कर सकता है?
7 The LORD is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me.
ख़ुदावन्द मेरी तरफ़ मेरे मददगारों में है, इसलिए मैं अपने 'अदावत रखने वालों को देख लूँगा।
8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
ख़ुदावन्द पर भरोसा करना, इंसान पर भरोसा रखने से बेहतर है।
9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
ख़ुदावन्द पर भरोसा करना, उमरा पर भरोसा रखने से बेहतर है।
10 All nations compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
सब क़ौमों ने मुझे घेर लिया; मैं ख़ुदावन्द के नाम से उनको काट डालूँगा!
11 They compass me about, yea, they compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
उन्होंने मुझे घेर लिया, बेशक घेर लिया; मैं ख़ुदावन्द के नाम से उनको काट डालूँगा!
12 They compass me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
उन्होंने शहद की मक्खियों की तरह मुझे घेर लिया, वह काँटों की आग की तरह बुझ गए; मैं ख़ुदावन्द के नाम से उनको काट डालूँगा।
13 Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but the LORD helped me.
तूने मुझे ज़ोर से धकेल दिया कि गिर पडू लेकिन ख़ुदावन्द ने मेरी मदद की।
14 The LORD is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.
ख़ुदावन्द मेरी ताक़त और मेरी हम्द है; वही मेरी नजात हुआ।
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
सादिकों के खे़मों में ख़ुशी और नजात की रागनी है, ख़ुदावन्द का दहना हाथ दिलावरी करता है।
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
ख़ुदावन्द का दहना हाथ बुलन्द हुआ है, ख़ुदावन्द का दहना हाथ दिलावरी करता है।
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
मैं मरूँगा नहीं बल्कि जिन्दा रहूँगा, और ख़ुदावन्द के कामों का बयान करूँगा।
18 The LORD hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death.
ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे सख़्त तम्बीह तो की, लेकिन मौत के हवाले नहीं किया।
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto the LORD.
सदाक़त के फाटकों को मेरे लिए खोल दो, मैं उनसे दाख़िल होकर ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र करूँगा।
20 This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter into it.
ख़ुदावन्द का फाटक यही है, सादिक इससे दाख़िल होंगे।
21 I will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.
मैं तेरा शुक्र करूँगा क्यूँकि तूने मुझे जवाब दिया, और ख़ुद मेरी नजात बना है।
22 The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone.
जिस पत्थर की मे'मारों ने रद्द किया, वही कोने के सिरे का पत्थर हो गया।
23 This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
यह ख़ुदावन्द की तरफ़ से हुआ, और हमारी नज़र में 'अजीब है।
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
यह वही दिन है जिसे ख़ुदावन्द ने मुक़र्रर किया, हम इसमें ख़ुश होंगे और ख़ुशी मनाएँगे।
25 We beseech Thee, O LORD, save now! We beseech Thee, O LORD, make us now to prosper!
आह! ऐ ख़ुदावन्द बचा ले! आह! ऐ ख़ुदावन्द खु़शहाली बख़्श!
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD; we bless you out of the house of the LORD.
मुबारक है वह जो ख़ुदावन्द के नाम से आता है! हम ने तुम को ख़ुदावन्द के घर से दुआ दी है।
27 The LORD is God, and hath given us light; order the festival procession with boughs, even unto the horns of the altar.
यहोवा ही ख़ुदा है, और उसी ने हम को नूर बख़्शा है। कु़र्बानी को मज़बह के सींगों से रस्सियों से बाँधो!
28 Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee.
तू मेरा ख़ुदा है, मैं तेरा शुक्र करूँगा; तू मेरा ख़ुदा है, मैं तेरी तम्जीद करूँगा।
29 O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.
ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र करो, क्यूँकि वह भला है; और उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है!
