Psalms 109
1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, keep not silence;
Ó Deus do meu louvor, não te cales,
2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me; they have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.
Pois a boca do ímpio e a boca do enganador estão abertas contra mim: tem falado contra mim com uma língua mentirosa.
3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
Eles me cercaram com palavras odiosas, e pelejaram contra mim sem causa.
4 In return for my love they are my adversaries; but I am all prayer.
Em recompensa do meu amor são meus adversários: mas eu faço oração.
5 And they have laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love:
E me deram mal pelo bem, e ódio pelo meu amor.
6 'Set Thou a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand.
Põe sobre ele um ímpio, e Satanás esteja à sua direita.
7 When he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer be turned into sin.
Quando for julgado, saia condenado; e a sua oração se lhe torne em pecado.
8 Let his days be few; let another take his charge.
Sejam poucos os seus dias, e outro tome o seu ofício.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Sejam órfãos os seus filhos, e viúva sua mulher.
10 Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; and let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.
Sejam vagabundos e pedintes os seus filhos, e busquem o pão dos seus lugares desolados.
11 Let the creditor distrain all that he hath; and let strangers make spoil of his labour.
Lance o credor a mão a tudo quanto tenha, e despojem os estranhos o seu trabalho.
12 Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; neither let there be any to be gracious unto his fatherless children.
Não haja ninguém que se compadeça dele, nem haja quem favoreça os seus órfãos.
13 Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Desapareça a sua posteridade, o seu nome seja apagado na seguinte geração.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be brought to remembrance unto the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Esteja na memória do Senhor a iniquidade de seus pais, e não se apague o pecado de sua mãe.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Antes estejam sempre perante o Senhor, para que faça desaparecer a sua memória da terra.
16 Because that he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay.
Porquanto não se lembrou de fazer misericórdia; antes perseguiu ao varão aflito e ao necessitado, para que pudesse até matar o quebrantado de coração.
17 Yea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; and he delighted not in blessing, and it is far from him.
Visto que amou a maldição, ela lhe sobrevenha, e assim como não desejou a benção, ela se afaste dele.
18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his raiment, and it is come into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones.
Assim como se vestiu de maldição, como dum vestido, assim penetre ela nas suas entranhas como água, e em seus ossos como azeite.
19 Let it be unto him as the garment which he putteth on, and for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.'
Seja para ele como o vestido que o cobre, e como cinto que o cinja sempre.
20 This would mine adversaries effect from the LORD, and they that speak evil against my soul.
Seja este o galardão dos meus contrários, da parte do Senhor, e dos que falam mal contra a minha alma.
21 But Thou, O GOD the Lord, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me.
Mas tu, Deus Senhor, trata comigo por amor do teu nome, porque a tua misericórdia é boa; livra-me,
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
Pois estou aflito e necessitado, e o meu coração está ferido dentro de mim.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it lengtheneth; I am shaken off as the locust.
Vou-me como a sombra que declina; sou sacudido como o gafanhoto.
24 My knees totter through fasting; and my flesh is lean, and hath no fatness.
De jejuar estão enfraquecidos os meus joelhos, e a minha carne emagrece.
25 I am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head.
E ainda lhes sou opróbrio; quando me contemplam, movem as cabeças.
26 Help me, O LORD my God; O save me according to Thy mercy;
Ajuda-me, Senhor Deus meu, salva-me segundo a tua misericórdia.
27 That they may know that this is Thy hand; that Thou, LORD, hast done it.
Para que saibam que esta é a tua mão, e que tu, Senhor, o fizeste.
28 Let them curse, but bless Thou; when they arise, they shall be put to shame, but Thy servant shall rejoice.
Amaldiçoem eles, mas abençoa tu: quando se levantarem fiquem confundidos; e alegre-se o teu servo.
29 Mine adversaries shall be clothed with confusion, and shall put on their own shame as a robe.
Vistam-se os meus adversários de vergonha, e cubram-se com a sua própria confusão como com uma capa.
30 I will give great thanks unto the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude;
Louvarei grandemente ao Senhor com a minha boca: louva-lo-ei entre a multidão.
31 Because He standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.
Pois se porá à mão direita do pobre, para o livrar dos que condenam a sua alma.
